One match ban enabled

MoN was certainly let down by some of those he gave an opportunity to on Wednesday. Got to hope this is the last we see of Goncalves in the matchday squad. He offers nothing and clearly can’t get the measure of Championship footy. It really grates that Appiah is being held back and this guy is getting in the matchday 18 week after week. If he continues to be picked, we have to conclude that this Mendes Agent has more influence over matters than is healthy and proper.

If Forest approach this game positively, they could win handsomely and really then the tide after a huge disappointment against Villa. Cash would be a great addition to the midfield if fit. Would offer the balance that was sorely missing on the right the other evening. Would help Darikwa out too as he was isolated.

Grabban isn’t any closer by the sounds of it. Concerning that it seems to be dragging on. Only one year into a four year deal too...

I have faith that MoN will have dissected the Villa game and will have a better plan for tomorrow’s game. I suspect he will go with Murphy against his old team in the hope it gets that extra 10% out of him.

I don't think anybody let him down on Wednesday; the Hull game was tough, and the Villa game was tougher - too tough in fact. Having said that I appreciate that Villa had a tough one on Sunday, but they just had more who were bigger, stronger. That's the way the game is going.

I do think what MON saw on Wednesday will have caused a rethink of today's team. Some who didn't start either of the two previous games will be hoping to be in this time: Robinson, Janko, Watson, Cash, Guedioura, Appiah. It's the striking options where we are short of bodies. I think if Cash is not ready to start it could be time for Arvin. We could be pinning our hopes on set pieces.

A win today would move us up two places and above the sheep. That's enough motivation isn't it.

Nobody in the forward positions has really impressed consistently. Forest need goals so they need to twist IMO. Stick Appiah in the bench at least and see if he can be a bit of a surprise package.

Forest have nothing to lose from here on in. They’ve had the third best season of this decade so far. If they can prove that Villa was a blip and go out and really turn Ipswich over then they’re still in the game.

We have too many blips: Villa, Stoke, Brum; and that's just since MON arrived. We need to make sure we don't lose those games every time we are sub-par.

How about

Pants
Darikwa Milo Bena Robinson
Colback Watson
Cash Osborn Lolley
Murphy

posted on 16/3/19

I would be tempted to give Colback a rest after Wednesday's performance; he was responsible for the first goal and looked winded by the end.

True. In fact Colback, Pele, and Yates all looked a bit 'leggy'

I don’t think Wednesday’s formation helped the midfield. Yates was asked to cover the right hand side from a central position. Villa exploited that flank and dragged the whole midfield around as a result. I think Colback is the best midfielder Forest have and would play him every game.

Pele May be the one to miss out. Watson in for him is an obvious change.

Does Osborn make way for Robinson and move back into midfield? What does that mean for Carvalho?

posted on 16/3/19

I have a feeling the Reds will turn it on today just when an important result is needed. I reckon Murphy, Yates and Lolley will net in a 3-1 Forest win. 🤞🏼

Had a dream that Cash scored early. Let’s hope he starts!

Can’t see Carvalho starting so expect Robinson back at LB and Osborn in midfield. Colback and Watson protecting back 4. Murphy up top against his old club

Wague in for Milosevic.
Robinson back in.
Osborn and Lolley in behind Murphy, who replaces Ansarifard.

Not a bad looking team with options off the bench.

Appiah not ‘appy again. 🤨

Pele gets another chance after a drop in standard on a Wednesday.

Leeds 0-1 Blades. Snakes and Ladders again. Consistency is a dirty word this season!
