What else can she do? They voted against every other alternative. Something dramatic will have to change to allow a fourth vote surely as it was denied last time.
I can tell you from reading Dutch comments on news articles that your government have become a laughing stock.
Never seen anything like this in my life, except for the yanks maybe. Their shutdown is one of the most moronic situations in politics.

This is on Cameron. He tried to be smart and prove to the people he was allowing them to vote on the most serious topic, thinking there was no chance leave would win. Then jumped off the sinking ship.

Agree Cameron was foolish to allow a referendum on this topic, and he was a coward when he jumped ship. But probably smart enough to understand that what is happening now, would probably happen. He thought fack that and left.

Who would want to get with that though
The right wingers are in a panic as they didn't think it would be a leave majority. fear crept in a long time ago.
I think they'll eventually revoke.

The problem as I see it from these far off shores is that the initial referendum was not the idea of a political party, rather a pressure group. Therefore no one party was in favour, hence the reluctance to vote through a deal as everyone has their own idea of what is or is not a good deal..Feckin mess and honestly another referendum is the only clear path forward imo.
Seems it was pressure from Eurosceptics within the Conservative party, that had largely been the cause of offing Tory leaders since Thatcher. As much as I couldn't stand the guy, I think Cameron's hands were tied on the referendum.
It's all a mess, and I'm not really sure I totally understand why there has been this long-running desire within Tory ranks for us to leave the EU. But that is what has led us to where we are now, and has been coming for a long time now.
^I know this is probably not news to many people here btw, it's just something I only found out recently.
"Brexit means Brexit"
As soon as she said that, the baw wiz burst.
All they're doing now is trying to agree the Terms of Reference, and they can't do it after the best part of three years. How long do do you think it will take to solution, design, build, test and handover whatever they decide they want?
Years.
Euroscepticism has been rife in the Tory party for 40 years now Lex, and somehow it’s creeped a tiny bit into Labour. For reasons I have no clue on, but the polls have suggested it’s the sixth biggest issue that faced the country for the last 10 years. The referendum didn’t need to be called, Cameron did it because he was scared of UKIP.
A lot of politicians seem to be happy to go down with the sinking ship to save face rather than admit they were wrong and put the UK first.
Are we as a nation really gonna cut our noses off to spite our face just so we don't have to go through the embarrassing walkback, everyone knows deep down that a mistake has been made, time to put it right and take the ego hit rather than cause long term damage.
