I take the view that football, like comedy has been of our best forces against racism.
Yes, there are isolated incidents and it's clearly more of an issue in the southern hemisphere of the continent - but this is a societal problem that just happens to rear its head in football stadiums from time to time.
1) UEFA & FIFA don't do enough to tackle racism within stadiums. Fines are pointless, give them a ban or point deduction, make them play behind closed doors.
2) It isn't UEFA & FIFA's responsibility to sort out racism in countries with deep seeded issues. It's a cultural thing and if politicians don't have this high on their priority list, there's not much football governing bodies can do.
3) Rose is a prat. He said he spends more on a night out than what people are fined (usually around £15k), yet has the cheek to turn his back on the sport that gave him that lifestyle.

Example - a drunk irish idiot abused a family at the recent Liverpool v AC Milan legend game and was escorted out, arrested, up in court and convicted by the Monday morning. He was then subsequently banned for live from Anfield, that is action.

There is a petition right now, I believe the study is there. This is there in black and white for all to see- the other day an Oxford graduate- white female, attacked her boyfriend and stabbed him. The judge ruled she should not go to prison because she is "too bright." That made the rounds, however if anyone here thinks this is not also evident in our primary, secondary and college education, I say again, wake up and smell the coffee.
