In 16/17 season we missed 50 big chances which was the most in the league so for us to already missed that more and already scored more than 16-17 season already by a few shows you we are one of the most creative teams in many years.

We really need finishing practice. If you look at most of the games we lost we could easily win quite a few of them and most of the draws.

Last post since OGS took over we scored less than expected while Spurs have scored over 6 more than expected so OGS getting us this close is amazing as strikers are not outperforming anything.

Yes, but our ‘expected chance of finding leprechaun gold st the end of the rainbow’ is way up. Spurs only beat us on ‘expected cheese’

Pretty sure you’ve got that stat completely the wrong way around anyway. You’ve been getting better results than it suggests, not the other way.

Don't put another 50p in him whatever you do. He makes up his own stats in support of his case and when Barcelona have the better chances and stats, more possession, United no shots on target and unable to get the ball from them, he doesnt use the stats and states United were on the front foot but poor finishing let them down.

He's nuts.

melotonblue since OGS took over only Spurs, Palace and Fulham had higher expected goals than us and Fulham was 0.06 better and Palace 0.15 better while we have been generally 1 or 2 goals better in most games. So we have been better in 13 out of 16 games and normally by a decent margin.

You’ve also conceded less than expected (and did the opposite under Mourinho too)

Yes, but our expected dodgy ref decision was up at 200% last night, that was crucial.

😂 it really was. When they got the offside wrong for the Rashford header over the bar, even I was begrudgingly admitting that we'd had a bit of luck with the decisions yesterday!

Busquets and Kimpembe should have been off as well in our 2 home CL games and we got yellows for nothing against Barcelona.

posted on 14/4/19

I think Busquets just about stayed the right side of warranting a second yellow. He walked a tight rope but showed himself to be the master of the dark arts he's renowned for being. Kimpembe was definitely worth a second yellow. But not really relevant to how us not being able to string two passes together and being consistently pretty rubbish

Look at what Man Utd got a yellow for against Barcelona and same ref let Busquets off free from much worse to get a 2nd yellow. Laughable.

Just seen sandys article. Its hilarious as Spurs and Arsenal are the teams relying on winning undeserved games to be high up.

If Chelsea and Man Utd had a normal big chance conversion rate we would be 3rd and 4th and Spurs and Arsenal would be a distant 5th and 6th.

You can see sandy is probably the least knowledgeable football fan on ja606. So Man Utd are the worst side going for top 4 according to him although I know we are the worst finishers in top 6. Its telling Man Utd don't even need another shot on target to finish ahead of either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea on shots on target this season unless they massively pick up there lack of creativity.

I do agree with you that Spurs are more clinical than exciting and creative. I've been saying that for some time myself. I don't think Chelsea, and particularly Arsenal, have been all that great either. Though I think we are playing at a lower level than any of those teams at this time

lol Arsenal and Spurs are generally past few months excelling expected goals while we are struggling.

We also got away with smalling elbowing Messi in the face. It works both ways..

Jones got elbowed in the face against west ham and ref didn't even stop play and a hand is not an elbow.

Hafi, do you actually watch football? Or are you glued to the stats page the whole time?

posted on 14/4/19

lol if I didn't watch the game I wouldn't remember a lot of the incidents.
