Eriksen, his agent, and Poch have all said there hasn't, and won't be, any discussions about a new contract until the end of the season.

Seems strange that he's already agreed terms with Real already

It's all b0llox
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's all bollox, but not because this kind of dealings don't happen all the time, and not because manager, player or agent deny the reports. Suitor clubs and agents negotiate all the time behind the back of the player's club.

It's bollox though because a) no way is Eriksen going to fetch 130M when he's only got a year left on his contract, and b) because AS (the Mail's reported source) lost the inside track on Madrid's transfer about a decade ago and are highly unlikely to be getting the low-down from a Danish agent either.

None of us really know & like Sandy says, I bet he's gonna want CL footy and a massive pay rise. If we cant deliver both he'll prob go. There's a track record here and it never plays out well for Spurs. This isn't Kane we are talking about. Eriksen is great but there's no reason why he should have loyalty to Spurs

At the moment, a cheese plant would suffice...

Unrealistic answers to this question: Isco, Ziyech, Van de Beek.

Realistic answers to this question: Grealish, Bowen, Sessegnon.

If Eriksen stays Grealish, Sessegnon, AWB and a quality CM would be a v good window.

In this market with a player like Eriksen, there is a real chance that several large teams could be after him.....why not Man Utd for example or Chelsea, Juve, PSG?

When such quality is available at 'affordable prices' more will be interested and the price goes up until only one is left standing.

Sure £130m will never happen, but i could see £70-80m

Thats probably £130-£150m net spend right there.....less whatever we can get for Trippier, Nkoudou, Janssen & Wanyama (maybe £40m for that job lot!)

Will we spend £100m net?

Rakitic could end up looking for a new club with the arrival of De Jong next season.

Would be an amazing player for a couple of seasons until a new long term prospect is brought up to speed

Ain't gonna happen, just thinking out loud

Very much doubt it. Much depends on who we can sell I'd be surprised if we spent more than 50mln net

I read somewhere Poch has £150m to spend. But probably just paper talk.

bit left field....but with Llorentes contract ending, and having Son and Lucas as back up strikers, would someone like RONDON be considered a decent bench option. Last year of his WBA contract so wouldnt be a massive cost and it has always been a struggle to find a striker happy to wait to play when Kane doesnt. He can be a real handful.

Similar option would also be MITROVIC. He'll have a relegation clause, so would be cheaper than normal. May be not mobile enough.

Thoughts?

Allegedly we did try to get Mitrovic in the January tw.
