On a side note, Garth Crookes team of the week includes no Wolves players. No-one will be surprised to hear that. For me there is no better forward in the PL than Diogo Jota, and that includes Mo Salah and Raheem Sterling - they can keep them.
I'm sure we'll be getting an article from Perton at some stage about transfers both in and out soon.
There is a lot of talk about moving players on. Costa, Cavaleiro and even Traore have been mentioned. However they all have contracts 2, 2 and 4 more seasons left, respectfully. It might be better to keep those unless we get a decent offer, especially if we do get into the Europa League next season.
As Wulfrunnut states the first 11 picks itself right now which in one sense is good, but we have been very lucky the past two seasons with injuries.
I'm sure the club will move on some players during the summer as we have 25 out on loan right now, but if we keep our 19 man senior squad and add 2 or 3 more, I think we'll be ok, especially as Nuno likes to use some of our up and coming players.
Remember too that a we will now be competing in the top division of the U23 league, where our youngsters will gain the experience of playing against better players.
So in my option, for what it's worth, keep the squad together, unless offers come in for the 3 mentioned above, refuse other offers for our top players and add 2 or 3 more.
Whatever happens to the rest of our season, I'm sure we can all agree that it's been better than we expected.
This may or may not be the best Wolves season since I started supporting them (over 60 years) but without a doubt it is the best I can remember.
If we do play Europa league, plus the Premier League games plus a few Carabao Cup and FA Cup games next season then we could be involved in well over 50 games, and that inevitably means much more squad rotation than we have seen from Nuno over the last two seasons. And we will be lucky to have as few injuries as we have had this season. So we need to bring in some players at least as good as what we have already to maintain standards. And we know Fosun’s ambition is for us to keep improving, not be content with just how good we are now.
Whether players leave will likely be decided by the players themselves. The likes of Neves and Jota may get offers from the biggest clubs in Europe. For Costa, Cavaleiro, Traore, Ruddy and Saiss they may want to go somewhere where they get regular games.
I could see us having a squad of players that play in the early Europa games plus the carabao and fa Cup games. That could include Costa, Cavaleiro, Traore and Saiss and also the likes of Norris, Kilman, Vinagre, Ennis, maybe even Hause plus some new signings or players displaced from the first team by new signings. And there are others from the u23 squad that may be ready to step up
I too have supported Wolves for 60 years and whilst there have been seasons to remember, I think this one takes the biscuit due to the style of play we now produce. Get the mindset right against teams who try to stifle us and who knows what these players could do and what this club can achieve.
As possible the oldest poster on here, I can say that I am so proud of the Manager, the Team and all the staff connected with Wolves.
Three years ago I thought I would never see us getting into the Premiership let alone attaining the heights we have. To see us playing with style and skill is beyond my wildest dreams. The abuse I took from Albion, Villa and Birmingham fans was very hard to take, the boot is now on the other foot.
May it long continue.
OODCL.
Agreed. Not that this side had much to beat given the garbage we pretty much dished up my entire life but this side is and has been fantastic and every time you think ok, they will drop off after that they bounce right back and go again.
Would like to say they have defied expectations but I was saying 18 months ago this side was going to be good enough to challenge top half prem with a few additions so this season has been 'decent'.
Well done cindi. You must have been pretty much on your own in predicting an improvement in both playing style and results after our takeover by billionaire owners.
Yes who would have believed that bringing in players worth around £200m would result in us having a better team playing better football than the ones built around players from the lower divisions.

I believe there were threads here and on molmix with many 'happy to avoid relegation'.
Not me mind, took me two weeks last season to know we were getting promoted and another month after that to know we would be a force in the prem. Granted it was fairly obvious

Don't always happen, look at Foolham.
Did you honestly think we would achieve what we have done this year ?
I predicted we would finish 9th so they have certainly done better than I expected.
But the point I was making is that we can’t pretend we would have made anywhere near this amount of progress without the sizeable investment Fosun have made. As you say spending money in itself is no guarantee but we would have never reached these heights with the budgets we had pre Fosun
Reminded me of an article I ran in August asking for end of season predictions.
Quite a few went for 9th, Tino and I said 8th (he got closer on points with 57 to my 51). Halfy said 4th.
Incidentally just about everyone gave the title to City, and everyone predicted Cardiff would be relegated.
Half an hour to go at City and Leicester still holding them down
I predicted 14th I think.

Kompany smacks one in from 30 yards
What a goal that was from Kompany.
Vincent just cemented our 7th place. Love the guy
