Those 3 other teams you've mentioned can say the exact same thing

Man Utd are the gashest out of them 4.

If we win our last 2 games we might still avoid the wooden spoon such is the poverty of the other 3 teams.

Debatable. Probably the best out of the 4 under the current manager. Obviously the season didn’t start when Ole took over though

What are the outcomes we need from our rivals games to secure a top 4 finish

Win our 2 games.

Chelsea to win neither and Arsenal not to win both will get us there.

It's not debatable. We are. Most PTS out of all 4 since Ole came in. Jose fecked us.

Not true. Spurs lose and we win both and we finish ahead of them so one of Arsenal n Chelsea winning is fine.

It's a real old shambles from all 4 teams.

So you're equally as bad as spurs, but you don't have the team to compete in the CL even though spurs are in the semi finals of the CL?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. Doesn’t make sense.

Spurs A game is better than ours at this moment in time but they’ve lost 13 league games which is awful.

If United win both we get to 71 points.

Therefore we need two of the below to happen:

Spurs to lose v Everton (their GD is much better than United)
Arsenal to drop points in one of their last two games
Chelsea to drop points in both or win one lose one (we'd then have to make up 8 goals in GD which isn't impossible if we come close to replicating the results we had against our opponents over Christmas)

What could work in our favour on the last day is the three teams above will all be keeping an eye on each other's results. One of them is going to miss out so they may have to go for it towards the end of their games if a draw isn't enough.

You watch us fail to beat Huddersfield tomorrow npw!

It’s a shame we’ve run out of steam at just the wrong time. Drawing with Chelsea was the killer, however. Win that and it’s in our hands. Can’t see two of these three faxking up to let us back in. In fact, I wouldn’t be durprised if we fail to beat one of Huddersfield and Cardiff.

I don't see a top four finish for us. We have the hardest task

posted on 4/5/19

Wouldn't be a surprise if it was in our hands in the last 30 minutes next week but we concede an equaliser from a corner or something. It's been that kind of season!

We've finished 7th, 4th,5th, 6th, 2nd, and are currently #Still6th, that's out level tbh, we're not a top 4 team and don't deserve to make it based on this season, and if we don't, then fine, Europea League football it is. Blood some youngsters in the groups and go all out to win it in the knock-outs.

I think out of us, Chelsea and Arsenal, Chelsea are the only ones who really deserve it. They started the season brilliantly and played some lovely football, of course, they've stumbled and are making hard work of getting over the line, but I'd say they've been the 4th best team this season. They also reached the Carabao Cup final and are in a good position to make the Europa League final.

Whoever gets it will deserve it but if the league started in 2019 Chelsea would be in 8th

I think what people might reflect on is that the meltdown on this board over the last few weeks is largely unwarranted. We’ve had by far the hardest set of fixtures, a ridiculous injury crisis and a manager who has none of his own players.

All the team can do now is win their last two games and see what happens. If by chance we make the top four, great. If not, I think a run in the EL wouldn’t be the worst thing at all.

It isn't the Everton or wolves games that cost us, it was the first 6 months Jose was in charge.

but if you think utd have a team to compete in the ucl atm, well that is good for you

Busby, yes but we also got ourselves into a very good position to get top four, so it’s disappointing.
