I think who wears the armband is pretty irrelevant.

VVD will be the same leader on the pitch with or without the captaincy.

Errr, what?

I'm not sure you know what captaincy does. What it certainly doesnt do is provide a more creative mentality. I'm not sure why we would want to be more creative, when we create as much as anybody in world football anyhow.

hahah... but you see these small things matter in big games where you need that extra bit.
If hendo remains the captain, he will surely not let VVD impose him on the field to a large extent, this might be good for the team but not good for Hendo. Moreover VVD would also hesitate to openly dominate whenever he wants as he is not an appointed one & hendo would also not like it.
Just stating as it is.
Its normal behavior by any individual not just hendo.
Gerrard was different personality, irrespective of being a captain or not, he would have done the same. But all are not Gerrard.
But somehow Klopp loves lovren & hendo.

Yeah I think you give to much power to the armband.
