He stated, “I would like to confirm that we have not had any dealings with this gentleman, Mr Bassini, in any bid or with any of his associated companies,” he said, in a statement to us yesterday.

So much for Bassini and his bid. Why on earth would anyone come out with such rubbish when it was evident that his lies would be challenged at some stage? It seems most unlikely that he will try to stop the sale of the club now that his reputation is completely trashed.
