That's what we like to see. A player that's all about the love of the game and not the money. He just really wants to be playing the sport he loves, golf.

Not sure if these quotes are true, seem shocking if so.

"I've got three years left on my contract. If they want me to go, they'll need to pay me €17m per season. If not, I'll stay here. And if I have to play golf, I will."

And that right there is why we do not sign Bale.

I have no time for people like him what so ever. There are very few (I would like to think) who would rather take the money than actually play.

Apparently they have come from wothin the dressing room at Madrid. Reported of course but have not been denied

I’m certain Bale will go as Real need to finance the new stadium

Just think Zidane is being far too ruthless than he needs to be in regards to giving him a farewell. This is the guy who scored two crucial goals to help Zidane win a CL final. Deserves better than to be cut out of a final farewell to a wonderful set of fans (I am being sarcastic about that last bit obv)

Its reported that he said that to team mates in the changing room

Load of balls I'd imagine

Bale is doing what's best for him.

He's won many trophies and coming close to the end of his career.

Why should he leave all that money? I'd take them to the cleaners for the full amount.

Agree, hope we are no where near him

So Ed will offer him 750k a week for 5yrs then

Those quotes aren’t true, it’s pretty shocking that the likes of sky sports were even reporting it

Easy to say while your wrinkled behind is resting on a comfy couch.

I'm pretty sure the view is different for pros who have played the game for over a decade and see it as a job.

But is Zidane cutting him ouy so ruthlessly?

posted on 19/5/19

The only true quote is from Zidane who is being a diiiick to a guy who helped him win a CL. Can anyone ever think of an occasion where Bale has given anyone the notion that he’s a model pro?

*that he’s not a model pro

The Zidane quote isn't true apparently. What he said was something along the lines of 'no matter who stayed on the bench you'd have questions'. I do think Bale is being rather harshly treated though. I've often said on here I wouldn't want him at United but that was because of the huge transfer fee and wages. However, if he were available on loan and with reasonable wages I think he could be a risk worth taking for a year or two.

Too injured to be worth the risk.
He is a great player but we shouldnt be looking his way

Be brilliant if this happens

We bring in Bale on Loan for a year or two. Also bring in James from Swansea. Play Bale in the big games and the PL ones and have James learn off a guy who i imagine is a huge hero to him and give James the Europa and league cup and when Bale goes after a year or two James is a better player and has benefitted from learning off a truly world class player. And our right side is miles better than it was before.

......

I very much doubt it.

Dunno. Played 47 games for club and country this season and as we saw today was obviously fit to play more than that. If carefully managed and not played every single week twice a week would be a good signing

But with our luck, he'd snap his achilles in the warm up for a pre season game

These quotes are fake, but it says a lot about the situation that they seem so believable to many.

As do I. So few are the players who just see it as a job, that it's actually newsworthy when they state as such. Assou-Ekotto and Ben Foster come to mind, but I can't think of many others
