My opinion too

If we sign a top quality right back young should be 3rd choice behind dalot. Would rather give the vice to de gea though rather than Pogba.

Any United fan who doesn't share this opinion needs slapping about.

In fairness to Young he’s been a decent servant who’s had plenty of good games. He’s just never been top class and now it’s time to move on.

Young being club captain is not a problem, IF he isn’t first choice or in the starting XI. However, how many captains fail to start more games than they do start?

Worrying if Ole persists with Young as first choice next season

Ashley Young should be gone, but the likelihood is that if he is on OGS's list of players to move on he's probably nearer the bottom. Plenty of others to move on ahead of him I think from OGS's point of view.

Probably his character is keeping him at the club right now. You'd hope so, 'cos if it's his ability that merits him a place in the squad now then we might as well not bother next season.

I don’t want Young in the side next season.

That said, if Ole sees him as a key player then I can see why he might make him captain. Our most experienced player, who regardless of quality puts in 100% every game.

Of those at the club, we could do much worse.

He's an upgrade on the outgoing captain.

Valencia was captain but hardly played this season. So I would not put too much this. As said before. If Young is first choice, then it is an issue.

I'd want a world class player OR a real warrior as captain. Young is neither.

Bad news for me f he is still around come August.

He's just signed a new deal.

Whatever!! Its fine. Its Youngs last ride anyway... he will be phased out. He may be captain, but Pogba will be the main guy as he would start every week.
But if young is starting, im gonna slap Ole.
He just cannot be a main starter for UTD.
