Come on Sand, old bean... anyone who knows their history real eyes the powerful significance of this game. Both Spurs and Pool from back in the day used to stomp these grounds around Europe. We Both, along with United own these moments. This is massive. The 2 birds. Regardless of your thoughts about Liverpool (I'll copy and paste something from their boards in a mo' you know full well the likes of Hoddle and Gascoigne and Crooks et all are NOT classing us as "underdogs"

On their page (please read everyone - an important message to both our clubs: https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=342973.0 ) but in the comments:

"Ah sir... you forget the 1981 FA cup quarter final and the Tottenham High Road after the match 😱...some of us old boys are still traumatised."

and

"White Hart Lane was the only ground where I've had a proper kicking, been close at Old Trafford though ;D"

Gramps was a Spurs fan so i'll be rooting for you guys but this Liverpool side is a bit tasty.
Despite two fantastic semi-final performances/results my heart says Spurs but my head says Liverpool.

Either way it'll be a cracker and may the best team win

Yeah my Gramps made me a Spurs fan in 1981 when we watched the FA Cup Final together beating Mancunian Citay would you believe

You said it, Sandy "As long as Spurs give it everything! "

That's the truth, saan!

Spurs have the world cup winning captain, the world cup golden boot winner, and countless other really quality players, so not quite sure why they are being put out as such complete outsiders. Especially when they were the better side the last time the two sides met. Pressure is all on Liverpool, and I think they will buckle.

For some reason I couldn't create an article so posting this here.

As a first time poster should probably say hello first.

I am originally from London and am a freelance writer and photographer. I have been based in Pakistan since 2004.

I became a Spurs fan because of Gary Lineker and his performances at the 1990 World Cup. I had a piece published yesterday about my journey as a Spurs supporter and watching Tottenham from afar. It can be found here:

https://www.dawn.com/news/1485684

One of the things I have missed the most is football related banter. Things like going to into work on a Monday and gloating about a win over the weekend or arguing with an Arsenal fan about who the true kings of North London. My time here has coincided with our best period as a club ever since I have been a supporter so basking in that glory is definitely something I've missed out on. The arrival of WhatsApp has helped but so have discussion forums like this.

I used to read the BBC 606 pages when they were around and then gravitated here after they closed. I've grown to know all of the main characters, the likes of Hengy, Sandy and Ace, and have often smiled my through a lot of the explosive discussions everyone has here.

Anyway, the reason I signed up today and the reason I am writing is just to say thank you to everyone here. All of you have made watching Spurs from such a great distance a little less lonely experience. Whatever happens tonight, whether we win or lose, the journey not just this season but over the past 29 years has been amazing and today I'll get to share that online with every here. It's an impossible dream, an impossible, impossible dream, but it might just be about to come true.

Freelance- it’s not impossible, He’s magic you know. It’s going to be downright difficult to beat this very food Liverpool team, but they’ll also think it will be a tough game. I’m extremely nervous and tense, have a wooly head after little rest last night or two. It’s amazing the emotions this CL has given us all. One more victory and the dream will become reality πŸ‘πŸ»

The media will always spin things whatever way they want Sandy

It must be Spurs biggest ever game and could be ours - no question about that

Really hope we win obvybut really want us to play well as we have been well below par against Seville and Real in the last few finals

Nobody here thinks it’s a done deal Spurs are a superb side but just not console enough and the same could be said about us but we’ve improved on that front we are definitely more consistent and more professional but the difference in terms of quality between the two teams is a rizzler paper
