Sounds more like it's carried on in the same vein to me, if both Ceballos and Lo Celso might be signing in the next week
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's hope so.
Wonder when we'll announce Eriksen is leaving.
I think we won't see much business in other areas until we get Eriksen out and a replacement in

Not necessarily, the summer we sold Bale we signed 7 players and didn't sell Bale until the last few hours of deadline day.

Seems like it's quietened down on the business front again? Please don't tell me Levy is getting into 'last minute mode'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How has it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we can expect signings or something to be announced soon?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We signed two players 5 days ago and are carrying on being linked heavily to 3 or 4 more.
Nothing quiet about it so far
Tbf we have such a bloated squad you imagine it’ll need trimming ASAP before we bring many more in

Spurts is such a negative nelly!
Mings signs to villa for £20m
My squad prediction
GK: Lloris, Gazzainga, Whiteman
RB: Aurier, KWP
CB: Verts, Toby, Sanchez, Foyth
LB: Davies, Rose
CM: Dier, Sissoko, Ndombele, Winks, Skipp, Wanyama
AM: Dele, Lo Celso, Lamela, Sessegnon
FW: Kane, Son, Lucas
I’m 50/50 on ceballos joining

My squad prediction
GK: Lloris, Gazzainga, Whiteman
RB: Aurier, KWP, Foyth - better RB needed but not happening
CB: Verts, Toby, Sanchez, Dier
LB: Davies, Rose
CM: Sissoko, Ndombele, Winks, Skipp, Wanyama
AM: Dele, Lamela - new player needed
FW: Kane, Son, Lucas - new player needed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Isn't Aurier injured as well? Would be fearful of facing City with KWP playing.
Personally think Foyth will be the main RB next season
Wanyama was class for us. It’s hard but you have to try and remember the impact he made in that first season - took us up a level.
But injuries have killed him off. Such a shame.
Whoever is at RB I hope they've ironed out the mistakes in their locker.

Think Dembele made Dier and Wanyama better than they are.
You see their real quality when they have had to take more responsibility and they have been found wanting.
Poor ball manipulators.
We need to move these type of players on.
Nah wanyama was great in his first season no doubt. As was dier in his first season at DM.

They are physically strong defensive players who lack craft in moving the ball forward. They did their job well enough in terms of providing a screen in front of the back line. Dier in particular was effective as he could drop into defence to create a back 3 when other pushed forward. But they need to be alongside someone that can really use the ball, a Dembele or a Winks. With Ndombele, Sissoko and Winks as our undoubted first 3 choices we have some decent options in that area now.

I watched the game against Brazil, he did ok defensively but he didn't want to cross the halfway line. It was like watching Trippier except no one gave him the ball, so you couldn't tell if he was any good at crossing.
I am totally amazed that Foyth can make the Argentine national squad. Shows how low they have sunk. And Messi getting sent off??
