We been in “advanced talks “ for about 2 weeks with this guy. I would take the Spanish press with a large dollop of salt mate. I don’t think there will much incomings until we sort this Eriksen thing out which we have to do next week. If Eriksen goes, then hopefully Lo Celso comes in as his replacement

The reason I don’t believe this Cellabos rubbish and Olmo etc is because not 1 single reputable English tabloid is going with the story. It’s all coming from rubbish Spanish sources. Atleast with NDombele and Lo Celso it’s being reported pretty much throughout Europe, so we know for a fact there is/was interest in these guys.

It seems we're hardly being linked to any defenders, the online community has been hard on Trippier but Poch has stuck with him. I doubt he or Rose will leave unless we get top money for them.

Toby will be off it seems, and yes I think it will be down to Sanchez to replace him. 25m won't buy anyone better than Foyth/Dier/Davies as back up anyway.

Eriksen seems certain to leave also, though I can see him signing a new contract if he can't get his move to Madrid.

Loads of reports in the last hour that Ceballos is a done deal 35 mill.

I also wonder if this confirms Spurs will be moving to a proper 433 next season, or even a midfield diamond. Either way, further signings are required - another good winger for 433, or a dynamic, quick right back for a diamond 4. To be fair the right back is kinda needed either way, but less so in a 433 with Son and Lucas as wide men.

I'm kinda inclined to think it'll be a 442 with a diamond midfield, though, since it means Alli can play at the tip with Son/Lucas as the floating striker off Kane. Pochettino certainly seems to prefer Lucas in the middle.

Why is it better value getting a lesser player? Dani Ceballos would be a more than welcomed player in addition to Lo Celso but I would not have Ceballos over Lo Celso if I had the option. Even if it costs more - what else are we saving up for?

I don't disagree, I just also don't see Spurs getting both Lo Celso AND Ceballos. If the £35m saved allows for a decent RB to be bought, I'd say it's the better option, especially since Ceballos is still a very good prospect with similar potential to Lo Celso.
