Fair enough, he has to go or sign a new contract at this point. Very sad it's come to this. He's our number 23.

crazy that we are going to make a profit again in the window despite people saying how much we've spent which in the grand scheme of things was that much/should have spent more
its crazy how things seem very dark around the club even though we've had a good transfer window cleaning up the squad, new stadium, full pre seasons etc. nothing is ever simple with spurs is it.

Thing is, if the books were being balanced by selling off the deadwood BUT the squad still ended up stronger as a result... fine.
The situation in reality, though, is that the squad is gonna be stronger in central midfield, but weaker in attack due to the loss of Eriksen and Llorente, and potentially significantly weaker in defence due to the loss of Trippier and (God forbid) possibly Alderweireld/Vertonghen/Rose too.
Balancing the books is a good thing in principle, but spending nothing and ending up weaker is just idiotic. Even "just" another £50m net spend could've made such a huge difference, and yet leaving the squad better off just hasn't been the priority for 18 months now.

If we lose one or more of Eriksen/Toby/Vert/Rose then it will range from a poor window to a shocking one.
We had so much to do that the real mistake made was leaving it so late, as in not even doing any of this over a whole summer window last season. We knew we had deadwood to get rid of and positions to strengthen, and then we sold Dembele the January after leaving us with more work.
as things stand, Levy has done his job. got poch the players he want.
the fact that the team are playing like caaaaants is down to the players and poch, and the RB nonsense is also down to Poch.

If Pochettino was genuinely happy to sell Trippier and Aurier and use Foyth and KWP as the RB options this year, then yeah, his fault entirely and he's a prat.
It's entirely possible, though, that he knew bringing in a new RB was never gonna happen, and he therefore had to make the best of a bad situation. At which point the blame shifts squarely to Levy.
Hard to say tbh, I could easily see Pochettino being that stupid because he does have his favourites, Foyth and Lamela being two of them

How do you know Levy has done his job? From the noises coming out of Poch over the window it doesn't really sound like it.
Sure we got Ndombele and GLC; 2 players targeted by Poch himself supposedly, but we were also after another midfielder as proven by going after Dybala. We didn't get him so not all the job was done.
Dybala deal couldn't be done due to complexity.
If we couldn't replace Trippier then why did Poch fall out with him ? there is a theme here.. poch keeps facking falling out with people
We should have made sure we got someone whether that was Dybala or someone else. I imagine the idea was going to be to replace an outgoing Eriksen with enough quality. At least then Poch may have had his mind more at ease knowing he could afford to lose Eriksen.
We could have even tried doing this earlier in the window and it may have forced the issue with Eriksen, letting him know he's no longer needed or encouraged clubs to take him off us. Better that way than losing him now and leaving us short.

Poch was the one who wanted Sessegnon and wanted him now.
Levy paid the money instead of trying to get him on a free next summer.
Poch hides behind bad transfers windows but he’s not saint either.
Jansen was his pick, he even went and watched him multiple times and then gave up on him pretty much straight away.
I’ve always been on poch side on everything but now he needs to shut up and get the job done.
We cannot go another 5 years not winning a thing.
Poch said that if Eriksen wasn't gone today then he wouldn't be moving this window

Not sure if posted and ive missed but pretty much what most of us think. He's frustrated at the level of spend around us compared to the ball grinding we suffer during our windows.
Also this backs my point ive tried to drill home about us needing another striker

He has a point. Clearly he wants to spend more. You can't tell me that had he access to a lot more money he'd be keeping the RB situation the same? People having a go at him for that need to apply some context to the position he is in. I think it's becoming all the more evident that he's just making do because he knows the limitations of the club.
