one of the biggest Levy moments was letting him stale at the club after he peaked his best. Contract ran down. Then let him stay beyond the summer instead of signing a playmaker replacement (Bruno)

Wasn't he one of the ones Poch wanted to clear out? I know he was glad that he stayed in the end but that was only cause we never had a replacement lined up.

you cant force a player out if he wants to run his contract down

This. Irritating seeing how short people's memories are. Just because most things were bad under Pochettino towards the end doesn't mean EVERYTHING was bad under him. Ndombele looked quality while he got up to speed.

How did that make him overrated though? His form dipped sometimes like pretty much every player in football. Some people just like to remember him for his last 6 months at the club.

Not true, he was being criticised by me, many other of our fans and pundits for the way he started a season a couple of seasons before. People like Edin weren't having any of it though, hence overrated by some of our fans.

Since Eriksens debut for us he created more chances than any other player in the premier league (571), 2nd in big chances only to KDB (73), more assists than anyone (62), more direct free kicks than anyone (8), goals from outside the box than anyone (23).

Now look at what we have now.

I don't think anyone would argue that we weren't in a better place when we had peak Eriksen, or the other players back then. Unfortunately for the last year or so he was part of the problem because he was playing poorly.

Eriksen came up with some huge goals last season but his overall play like most dropped a bit.

Clearly knew he was offside and used that perfectly to waste time.

My point was really that losing his form towards the backend of his spell at Spurs does not make him overrated.
