I would actually be kind of excited if we got Bale back on loan or something. There's always that feeling that there might still be a top class player we can coax out of him. I'd still have him and you'd always choose to select him if he was fit in a big game. But I expect the reality would be more what you are saying. Few performances and wouldn't live up to the excitement.

I think that the Bale boat has sailed. He is 31 and gave all of his best years to Real Madrid.
If we get him on loan I would not be surprised if he spent the majority of his time here getting over injuries.
Love the player, would love to see him come back but from a business perspective I cannot see our club an Bale's motivations matching on this one.

In some ways I think getting him on some kind of loan deal would be fantastic but I have my doubts about a player who is so focused on greed and revenge that he want to run down his contract during his best years rather than take a pay cut and go and play football while still on astronomical wages.

He's already like some old-ex football player whose life involves playing rounds of golf and doing the occasional football gigs.

I would actually be kind of excited if we got Bale back on loan or something. There's always that feeling that there might still be a top class player we can coax out of him. I'd still have him and you'd always choose to select him if he was fit in a big game. But I expect the reality would be more what you are saying. Few performances and wouldn't live up to the excitement.
