Saw a good interview with El Golfer the other day. He has a house in Cardiff with 3 par 3's which replicate Sawgrass, Augusta and one other. Once he moves back he will add some more. Lucky barstool.

This is what annoys me about Bale and top end footballers in general.

They have enough money to do literally anything they want - build three replica golf courses in the backgardens of their second / third / fourth homes if they feel like it.

But they don't want to take a pay cut to play football somewhere because how would they survive on 'only' £100k a week?

I'm massively generalising here but increasingly there is real life and then there are elite footballers.

If you or I were in the same position we would and should do the exact same thing. Easy to say in theory I would take a pay cut but in reality if I am on £350k a week I am only going to want more in my next contract and not a penny less. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

signing makes a lot of sense, much like the Hojbjerg one. Not spectacular but needed.

It makes sense for us, and for Wilson he should be jumping at the chance. I hear some people say he'd think twice because he'd be second to Kane and it won't help his England chances. It could just as easily increase his chances by playing for a club like Spurs in Europe than for Palace or someone of that stature.
