There do seem to be an awful lot of strikers out there who go from being prolific in the Championship to coming up to the PL and hitting no better than a 1 in 3 strike rate. Gayle, Mitrovic, Murray, Maupay, Pukki this season, Grabban, Rodriguez, all those in the last few seasons.
I hope Parrott does well and can become our future forward. We need a bit of a conveyor belt going.
Kane also needs to p1ss off wanting to play every game regardless of fitness

However this is heavily influenced by them now being at weaker teams in the prem, than when they were at stronger teams in the champ

From the players listed there are a few who would definitely have been a decent second striker option. Pukki and Mitrovic have been good in the the PL especially the latter and Maupay/Rodriguez (I assume you mean Jay) have been good in the PL as well but they aren’t strikers so seems unfair to list them.
I like Watkins as he has proven he can score goals (similar time what Tammy did), is versatile, is rarely injured and possesses the right physical attributes to suggest he’d fit into the Prem.

Pukki been good? He had a good first few months but was woeful in the second half of the season. Only scored 1 goal this year and it was a penalty. He fluffed many big chances.
It's a bit harsh on Murray given his age, and on Rodriguez as he had that one good PL season under Poch before he got injured. The fact remains they had prolific goalscoring seasons in the Championship wedged between 2 not very prolific seasons in the PL. Same with Mitrovic, and the others. A lot of them simply struggle to adapt.
A striker who has proven they can score ~10+ goals in a season in the PL in a not so great team is suffice for a backup to Kane though. I would also say that of all those you listed bar Gayle (I dunno anything about Grabban) have more to their game than scoring goals as well
I get the point about providing more than just goals, and if they can play in other positions it's a bonus. Ideally you want as good a goalscorer as you can get for a back up though, since if Kane gets injured you need them to take his place.
Wilson may not have a great record but he so far has the best goalscoring season in the PL of all those ones I listed. And he isn't too old like many of them, and is HG, so I would take him. More mobile than some of those examples too.
Aren't that many who are better for us to get at the moment.
For me the wishlist would be:
1) Jiminez (but we could never afford him)
2) Danny Ings
3) Moussa Dembele
4) Callum Wilson
In that order, but actually I'd be equally happy with Dembele or Ings

I like Wilson. Wouldn’t be happy if we paid over 20m for him - but he would be behind Watkins and Mitrovic out of the players you listed for me. Just as I think they are more reliable, versatile and are younger.
Actually I'm changing my mind, I'm with Edin here. I would prefer Mitrovic to Wilson. The problem is where Bournemouth will struggle to keep Wilson, Fulham will do everything that they can to keep Mitrovic. He's essential to their chances of staying up next year, so it would make the deal expensive and difficult.
Imo Wilson will go for around £18m. They cannot pay his huge wages in the championship
Mitrovic would be the next one out of that lot I'd consider but doesn't do anything for our HG quota and would be a waste of a good headerer of a ball because our crosses are so awful.

Yeah Mitrovic is much more unrealistic.
Shuttle - I think both him and Wilson score similar types of goals. We also score a decent amount of headed goals from crosses (higher in the league) it just seems more painful as we take so many crosses and we have to endure Joseball.

Spurs in the Premiership probably won't either
Ah didn’t realise Wilson had a 50% relegation wage deduction. Makes things slightly easier for Bournemouth
