It just ups the already high ante of this summer.

Need to get the right manager in.

Need to show ambition in the market.

Need to convince Kane of the above.

I still think if City offer £150m Levy will consider it. I can see City offering that too. It really depends on where Haaland goes, because if he chooses somewhere else (United? Real? Barca?) then there isn't really another top-class option for City.

Sky doing this story now is just so wrong considering all credible sources saying nothing on the situation has changed from before. They're obsessed. The bbc said this morning that even they understand that he hasnt actually asked Tottenham to leave.

as for Sky saying about us looking into striker replacements already is just LOL

No orny is very plugged in

Rundown of the piece is

- Kane wants to leave

- Man City enquired last summer, Kane wanted to go
then but Levy asked him to stay for one more year

- Kane asked the city players who he met up with for England in March about life in the north west, left them with the impression that he was coming this summer

This was the stuff on Twitter I'd seen which made me nervous. I'd always ruled City out because they don't spend that much on individual players, but I can't imagine they were expecting to only have to pay 80m when the enquired. It seems like they were ready to cough up

- But, he's not for sale at any price, especially to premier league teams. He has 3 years left on his deal so has no leverage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Christopher.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Kane, if we do keep him against his wishes I hope we match his ambition.

Maybe he was one of the Spurs players that was reportedly impressed by Potter's Brighton? That would surely make Potter our number 1 target.

If it's good enough for Kane, it's good enough for me.

I am definitely coming around to the idea of Potter.

Have we folded the club yet?

Fulham playing well against Newcastle in an unusual 4-2-2-2.

Change of formation and the players still know what they’re doing, and good to see a manager happy to change things up.

Hope Parker joins us, definitely gonna be a top manager.

Harsh on United, they're better than Newcastle imo
