I know the lack of transfers annoy some people but when you look at what most fans wanted (a solid defense and a clear out of the deadwood) you have to say we've made good, sensible progress this window.

At the end of the season it felt like we needed to fix EVERYTHING but now it feels like we have a solid base to move forward with thanks to solid transactions and better coaching. We have enough quality to build 2 solid first teams this season:

Lloris
Emerson--Sanchez--Romero--Reguilon
Ndombele--Hojbjerg--GLC
Son--Kane--Bergwjin

Gollini
Tanganga--Dier--Rodon--Davies/Sessegnon
Dele--Skipp--Winks
Moura--Scarlett--Gil

Sure we need to clear out a few more like Aurier and CCV but overall, with the youth we have coming through, there aren't many gaps that we can't address over the next few windows.

My main takeaway is that we've aimed for quality targets or those with potential and if we haven't got them on our terms we've moved on. I'm glad we're not throwing money at some second rate striker to sit on the bench when we have Son and Scarlett to tide us over.
