I can only think there are insane add-ons to the Dele deal for it to make any sense.

He's been in a poor run of form for a good while now of course, but this is a player a couple years ago that was talked of potentially being worth 100m. If we've given him away for peanuts that is truly shocking.

Don't need more depth in those positions

we also have enough defenders too....just Tanganga and Doherty are proper naff and Rodon doesnt play

Seems everyone is getting excited over, what appear to be, squad players at the absolute best. Most know barely anything about these guys AND their stats aren’t great. At least Diaz had good stats.

Plus we are strengthening areas that don’t need it - is the winger really gonna be better than lucas/bergwijn? Why aren’t we looking at defenders/creative mids, especially with us seemingly getting rid of literally all our creative players?

Wish our academy could produce like arsenal/chelsea/west hams

Our creativity from midfield is systemic though - we need the player who can play the *right* pass that Conte wants.

I know nothing of Kulu - but Bentacur is a good passer from what I've seen. That will help the quality slightly.

That being said these two signings aren't guarenteed starters but more first team competition. Which is fine considering the other competition (GLC/Ndomb/Dele) aren't wanted.

It's all a bit meh imo, shifting out of favour players and bringing in unknown players who may or may not produce the goods. Much rather prefer bringing in PL proven players.
