Maybe changing the way you play might be a good thing.
Having everything evolve round one player isn't always good.

I agree. However, we weren’t evolving around one player. It just happened that we aren’t very good so he’d have to constantly salvage something. When he doesn’t play, even in Europa, we have nothing. In fact had we got players around him who helped we probably would have been better off.

I bought a new fridge from Currys last week and they were trying to sell a load of add ons. It's a fecking nightmare. £42 million worth would be something else though!

Pretty much Neo.
The transfer fee itself is what you have to pay the selling club at point of agreement. Add ons are only going to be paid further down the line.
If you pay them then you will be happy to. Unless you have a negotiator like Ed who who hasnt a clue what he is doing.

Sometimes, not always. The article I read on the Telegraph says "the bonuses are easily achievable and the Blues are confident they will receive the full £130m for the forward.
Obviously we will never know what the bonuses are specifically going by similar transfers (e.g. Coutinho) but apperances are going to a big bulk of them, for example 50, 100.. etc
Hazard could easily make 100 appearances and trigger those clauses despite not being a success at Real, the same way Coutinho has been seem as a bit of a flop.
Likewise, Real could happen to win the league next year with Hazard being injured for 3/4's of it, another example where a clause is excercised and more transfer fees without the player himself being a success.

Getting out the cl groups and finishing in Europa places would be a blinding season next year. Can see us finishing nearer to mid table though sadly. Good luck to him. Deserves the move
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We're better than Europa League bro
With this deal Madrid are £275m deep into their rebuild already this summer and have secured replacements for Ramos, Marcelo, Ronaldo (a year late) and Benzema.
They also have Hazard, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr, Vazquez, Bale and Asensio competing for two wide positions. James and Isco also capable of operating wide.
If Asensio is on the move we should snap him up. They also have too many midfielders with those coming back from loan, so Casemiro/Llorente should be on the shopping list as well.
Can't see them buying Pogba at all, much is the shame.

PSG have done no buying yet. If we're fortunate they might cough up 100 mil and send Meunier the other way.
Given Buffon has seemingly retired they might like De Gea for £50-60m too.
What's worrying for Utd fans is there has been no transfer talk of outgoings yet beyond those out of contract.

there has been talk of lukaku going.. darmian, pogba, de gea, bailly
Just to add to the likelihood of PSG coming in, they've lost Matuidi, Krychowiak, Lo Celso and Rabiot from midfield in the last two seasons with only Paredes and Herrera coming in.
They're a bit light there.
Was the Mbappe transfer request stuff true yesterday or just Twitter crap?
What's happening with Rabiot too from PSG, he still just pimping himself out to anyone who'll listen?
Read yesterday he's not played a competitive game since December

Where's that figure come from? Everything I've read says "in the region of" £88.5m. That's quite a difference.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What some of the newspapers do, at least what they used to do when I read them, is add the transfer fee to the wages over the duration of the contract, then report the total amount. When it suits them of course.
Symptom of the sheit sensationalist, clickbaite journalism these days. In the good old days they would quote the base price, now they add all the add-ons to make it sound grander than it is.
you dont like that they reveal the full fee now?
That is the point Adam. It isn't the full fee unless unknown conditions are met.
Just quote the effing transfer fee without add on's or wages. Then everyone knows what we are on about.
i dont see the issue, theyve said the base price and informed you that they could get more if conditions are met, seems a trivial thing to moan about.
If youre complaining that people will then quote the max fee rather than the base fee then i don't disagree
adding wages into the fee is stupid, that can be listed separately
You wouldn't see the issue Adam.
You are one of the few I wouldn't expect to see it.
guess coutinho is a good example, everyone saying sold for 140, but it was more like 100(i think) with addons, some of which have already failed, one of which was them making the cl final this season, so thats 5mil off the potential max fee already

because its a stupid 'issue' in the first place, imagine complaining that a journo informed you off the base fee and the potential max fee, go moan at the people who always quote the max rather than the base
or try to be insulting some more, up to you
not that you are the one who moaned about it
unless he was actually complaining that they only showed the max fee, in which case ill get my coat
Adam
It is the inconsistencies of fee reporting caused by the journo's. Guess work is taken out of it all when you get the base fee as a fact.
Then you wouldn't have people on web sites like this being ridiculous when quoting the fee of Coutinho for example as you highlighted yourself.
ahh right i get it, i was applying it to articles that actually provide clear information, rather than the majority that just omit information and go for the max fee for clicks
