He's a great player that will fully justify the £150m spent on him. He'll be a great loss to Chelsea, hopefully someone steps up, like it has with many other great players that played for the club.

So that's Chelsea and Man Utd out the way, so it's us or Arsenal for fourth spot

Chelsea will finish above United in the new season. Unless something drastic happens this summer with transfers.

Which it won't.

No way on earth are they paying 'excess of £150m' for a 28 year old with one year left. Not a prayer.

Chelsea fan behind that article?

I’m guessing that’s the whole package including wages
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wrong. Hazard signed a 5 year contract on £400k per week, so his wages alone will cost RM £105m to the end of his contract

Gonna be funny when Hazard turns into Bale at the end of that contract and can’t be shifted.

Big loss but as United have shown over the years, teams can move on from the loss of great players. Just might take them a while.

Unlikely, but if it does not work out, the door will always be open for him at Chelsea

posted on 7/6/19

Imo, it was bigger loss, when lampard, drogba retired, we ll be alright, maybe now our players can play now instead of always looking to pass to hazard

He will be 29 in january so he will have two top years and will be booed after that.

Chelsea had the best years of him.

posted on 7/6/19

It’s not that unlikely given his age and length of contract.

Should know by now that Chelsea always find a way to come back from the dead

Usually because Hazard.

We finished 6th but arsenal are the sheitest team in the top 6 and most fecked imo

Yep. Aubameyang and Lacazette papered over how poor the rest of that side is.

Wolves and Leicester could easily overtake them next season.

With Chelsea, bringing in Lampard whilst having a transfer ban could long term help them a lot. I like what Lampard has done at Derby and seems happy to give the youth a chance, and they might need to use them next season with a transfer ban.

Would also give him a years pass as “it’s not his team, wait till he signs his own players”, and also it gives him a chance to get settled in with low expectations.

This is probably the 24th prediction of our great decline since 2010.

It's almost becoming the reversal of "next year is Liverpool's year".

Many of those predictions have turned out to be correct, though. Evidenced by 6th, 10th and 5th placed finishes this decade.

Also 6th in a year we win the CL and FA Cup and 5th the year we beat your lot in the FA Cup final. The only disaster season we had was 2015/16 and we followed it up with a title.

Ouch

I'd say that's game set and match.

Yeah Chelsea are a great cup team. But that and us being crap isn’t really relevant to the prediction that Chelsea will stuggle in the league.

D11’s claim doesn’t really make any sense seeing as Liverpool don’t end up winning the league whereas Chelsea do have (relatively) poor league campaigns.

Plus even if that weren’t the case it doesn’t mean that just because there’s a pattern that it can’t change anyway.

United will be struggling again, alot of players on their books that lack the required quality. Poor manager who will probably be gone by Christmas. United have become a broken record they just do the same thing over and over again, spend poorlyand sack managers in a desperate attempt to recapture past glories.
