McLeish got us into the play-offs which might still be our best chance of qualifying.. But we have a new manager now. So let's move on.

Gillhaus is right. Get facking behind the team and be positive.
Yes we know we are not world beaters.

If Clarke gets the time to build the team we can see good results. Frazer, Robinson, Burke, Mctominay, Forrest are good players. The cb's are the weakness.

He has his work cut out
Other than the excellent Forrest and Robertson that’s not a great international list

Let’s see though

Frazer is a good player. A very good player who is linked to sign for top english sides.

Iceland don't have a football league but they have qualified for tournaments.

Yes it’s down to decent players and an excellent system
We do have decent players though very few outstanding the 2 mentioned and maybe a couple more

Get the system right and it’s possible
Wins like Paris are possible but only with great leadership

Clarke may well be the guy

definitely not enough quality in there so Clarke needs to get those players fired up for every game, they didn't look to amped this evening.

Maybe Belgium can drag some passion out of these players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Drag some passion or take the pash?
But Scotland does seem to play better against better competition.

It was refreshing to see a few players from the Scottish Premiership in that game. Recent managers have gone for absolute no-marks with a Scottish granny playing for Mickey Mouse clubs in the English Championship, a league where the ball can go a full 90 minutes without being passed along the ground.

Might even be a manger who picks players based on form rather than reputation.

Clarke looks like a homeless guy who got a job by accident. He then had no idea what he was doing and went to tell his boss got promoted by accident.

I think McLeish team would have beat Cyprus they are hardly Israel and we beat them, who are definitely better what is it with with Forrest and McGregor I expect more from them in these sort of games with someone like Fraser taking away defenders with his pace and skill I'd expect the football brains of the likes of those two to be dragging Cyprus defenders all over the place leaving our main striker with simple one on ones, i mean come on its cyprus not france or spain we are playing, i think they only look better when we have the likes of Fletcher holds the ball up well and Ryan Christie who is more direct, too many misplaced passes and crosses from both of them today particularly McGregor poor corner leading to their goal and Forrest awful cutback at the start of the second half when running into their box.

We got three points ya moaning faced kants.
And no, McLeish's team would not have beaten Cyprus.

Mon Scotland!

Not having a moan at Clarke best man for me after Strachan, I still think some of the players he picked were better than some of what we have now, but he's only been in the job for about a week or so, given time he will certainly make us better I'm sure, just thought certain players seem to become very casual when they go in front against these sort of teams and seem to think we are good enough to hang on a one-nil lead and just keep possession for some reason when they obviously can't and it's happened time and time again we never seem to learn that we need to get at least a second goal before we can relax a bit, and as Robson said on sportscene last night it mainly stems from us losing the ball going forward way too easily putting undue pressure at times and possibly unexpected pressure in some cases, and clarke didnt seem to be that bothered about it either thought he would be urging them on making sure they scored another first, by the way why do you think mcleishs team wouldnt have beaten cyprus when his team beat a better team than cyprus in israel dont understand your logic there?

Cos McLeish lost the plot in Boratville.

Come Kazakhstan away long hard season for players long plane journey different conditions to a should be nice easy home match against cyprus I'm sure if McLeish had the options player wise to choose from that Steve clarke would have had yesterday he would have won that game we will see how clarke gets on on Tuesday against Belgium I hope it goes well though.
