Pay 60m to stunt Dalot's growth, that would be typically Man United.

If we had bought Robertson from Hull for £8m most of our 'fans' would have moaned and cried about it.

We sadly live in an age where most people rate you by your transfer fee.

Liverpool got 4/5 quality signings for what we paid just for Lukaku. I hate them so much but credit where credit is due. After 20 odd years of bad recruitment they have finally sorted it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

20 years of bad recruitment isn't exactly true. For every Carroll and Diouf there is a Suarez, Torres and Hyypia.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You obviously had the odd success but you've spent over a billion quid and not won the league.

Your recruitment overall (up until recently) has been woeful. Seems like we've take over from you now.

We've been linked with 3 other RBs.
Muenier (25m)
Trippier (30m)
Cancelo (included in a deal plus cash for Pogba).

If we can't negotiate a decent price, Muenier and Cancelo would be other options to look at. Tottenham can f off and keep Trippier

Would rather blow our 'budget' and spend £60/70m on AWB than spend a tenner on Trippier.

Ole tells Ed he needs Wan Bissaka
Ed's man determines what they believe he is worth
Ed's man makeanthebfirst offer of £40m
Palace reject it

What 'preparation' is it that Sky believe the club is doing on a 2nd bid exactly? Surely it would be a £45m-£50m bid or we go for option B ?

Is it delivered in the form of very elaborate origami ?

I don’t think it was the recruitment, under Rafa he wanted players like Dani Alves, David Silva but we ended up with players live Josemi, Kromkamp and Pennant.

If we had £40m we’d spend it on 3 £12m players instead of 2 £20m players. Our commercial structure has been totally transformed since FSG have come in and that has enabled us to get it right.

Crazy how fees are going. People.were up in arms when we paid £27m for Shaw.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, we overpaid. Considering pool got Robertson for 8 m who’s miles better
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You wouldn't have said that at the time though would you? Robertson has turned out better.

Shaw has been unlucky with injuries and of course the man utd manager malaise hasn't helped him at all
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Always said Shaw's fee was a waste of money

They dont just open a word document and change the number from £40m to £50m you know.

Because it's a multimillion pound business deal that will include everything from image rights to agent fees as part of an absolutely massive contract.

I have no idea how you get the reputation you have tbh.

Would I be right in thinking you're basing your thoughts on a guess in your head or do you have some kind of experience on the matter?

The clubs know their maximum bid. All they have to do is decide how much to increase their first bid by.

And then draw up a new contract. Again is your opinion based on a guess in your head or do you have experience of it?

It's not rhetorical, Im genuinely interested.

You wouldnt need a contract until a bid had been accepted and the player agreed terms.

What experience do you have of bidding for footballers?

Not sure where the worries are with AWB in attack.
Seen he has more assists and is better attacking than Kyle Walker.

Think he's better than Trent defensively, but attacking not so much. Don't forget he is a former winger + Palace are mostly on the back foot(this just highlights his defensive work as one of the best FBs in the league). AWB is the upgrade we need. He is probably top 5 RBs in the league currently. Young and exciting. Pay 50mil and get it done.

Better attacking according to stats for last year than Kyle Walker*

None but I do have experience of writing large bids and contracts and I have a friend who's an agent so a mixture of direct and anecdotal experience.

Could you answer the question please?

posted on 11/6/19

None. But why would you need a contract sealing the deal until you have agreed terms?

What?

Anyway as long as it's just based on a guess in your head that's fine and makes more sense.
