Well what do ya think?

Sounds like a business decision. We have added value to the player and maybe think we wont add significantly more but still have to pay his wages. We do need to keep within FFP rules. .

I was surprised by this and was also under the impression he did well enough last year to get a shot next season
I doubt its a financial decision as if hes not in the first team squad someone else will have to be purchased or loaned and will most likely be on a higher wage than Thomas

There is a rudderless feeling about Derby County at the moment which I cannot ignore tough I try very hard.

Everybody who matters at the club is on holiday Ramdini. There is no need to worry yet.

Spart, I suppose that's what I mean - Rudderless and there is a lot to sort out right now. Loanees both in and out, replacements for some key positions, Frank or no Frank. I am not comfortable but maybe it will all turn out fine and dandy?

It's the same at every other club though Ramdini. Absolutely no need to worry.

If deals are being done maybe that could be seen as reassuring. You would have thought that if there was turmoil ahead then we would wait and see what the new manager wanted to do. But who knows? Maybe the plan is to continue with the plan until such time as Chelsea come calling. Nobody knows whether Lampard is Chelsea’s first choice to replace Sarri, or just one on their list of possibles, or not even that. Nor do we know what the outcome would be if they said they wanted him. He’s a smart bloke and I imagine he would want to know what the expectations would be if he took up the job. What would be an acceptable season for Chelsea with no Hazard and an embargo? Top half? Top six? Champions League?

We’re not paying near £1,2m. Might end up that with loads of add ons.

No matter who is in charge at Chelsea, or what state the playing staff is, the aim is always top 4, with a view to winning silverware.

Well that’s what would be in Lampard’s mind if he got the job Jorv. Would he be considered a failure after a season, get the boot and that end up being his one and only shot at managing Chelsea, with the odds stacked against him achieving success? Would he believe any guarantee they might give him that he would be allowed time to build something?

The "will he won't he" with Lampard should be the last thing on our minds when BJ is looking like a shoo-in for PM, (not that we can do much about either though)!

So he`s gone maybe good maybe bad, will never know bound to score a worldie against us its the Derby way.

It looks as if Lampard is going too according to Sky News.

I think we all knew deep down that he would leave. Who do you want next Ramdini? My choice is 1 Jokanovic 2 Adkins 3 Monk.

Annoying distraction at the start of the season. We need someone with a bit of charisma who can attract decent players. That would definitely rule out Adkins.

I still wonder if Wenger might be interested in the challenge for a season. Not an upcoming manager, but likely to work well with the youth setup, teach them some valuable lessons and if he can get us up, leave us in good stead for a crack at the Premiership.
