Look at Reals business, have had a shocking season, have identified the players they want and went and signed them, over £300m spent already

Exactly while we’re here wasting time haggling over a few million for Wan Bissaka

The £35m plus £15m add ons is just peak Woodward.

Us, and if Spurs make good signings will push them all the way IMO.

City have a core to their team, likes of Kompany, De Bruyne, David Silva, Aguero have been there a few years now, have that experience and are the leaders and show the rest and new players that come in the expectation. Compare that to likes of Smalling, Jones, Young who have been here a while now and when youngsters or new players come in that's what they see....

Possible Liverpool but not Spurs imo.

They lost 13 league games last season and they were miles off the top two in the end. Their defence is also ageing now.

Liverpool maybe but I still think you’d need to buy very well.

I do think a lot fell your way to remain in the title race last season.

Fernandinho is ageing and bit injury prone so Rodri will replace him eventually. Cancelo will compete with Walker

cancelo is miles better than that tragedy walker

From what ive seen of Cancelo he looks a brilliant player, especially going forward with pace to burn, if we are to do a deal with Juve over Pogba id love to see us go for Cancelo

Ed gets hammered if we straight up pay whatever teams demand, if Palace said £50m for AWB and we stepped up and paid it he'd have been mugged and slated for not being able to negotiate.

I think he's doing a poor job tbh, and hasn't been right for the football side of things since day 1 but I won't berate him for trying to get a better deal if possible for players.

I think we'll eventually sign AWB anyway.

Agreed. Paying an extra £5m to £10m here or there could see us fail to land a target. I'm not an Ed fan at all but I'm all for us trying to get a good deal. After all that's what Palace are doing with their man if reports are to be believed.

It'll be difficult to replace Fernandinho. I thought he was City's most noticeable absence last season - even if it didn't halt them from winning the title.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Pep use Fernandinho in defence with Rodri moving into his DM position.

Zlatan, Pogba and Mik were ok with it.

There's just no point getting jealous about the dealings of City (best manager in the world and back to back PL winners).. and Real Madrid (triple CL winning manager and just all around super club).

We've already made a sensible signing and the really strongly linked players all seem well calculated purchases.

C*ty are a shining example of a club that can afford to buy every player they want, and have 2 world class players in every position without having to worry about keeping players happy because they can pay all their substitutes £250k p/w.

Don't give a rats about the title race next season as we won't be competing in it. And the Abu Dhabi bitters are still better than the council rats.

bitters was the tamest word you could come up with i assume
