All businesses are seeing a downturn due to the economic climate. Almost every club in the country has seen gates fall, so they adapt and put on special offers and that includes the prem sides (Except top 4) But Bates still keeps ramping up the prices because he's always got away with it as our fans were promised prem football. bates's bubble is about to burst as he wants money for white elephants and not the squad, so fook him, let him have half empty grounds
FL regulations say you have to offer concessions to away fans.
Bates OUT !!!
In Larry we TRUST .....
Bates OUT !!!
MOT !!!!!!
Jonty, think you are missing the point.
Surely Bates has to give his home fans the same prices as the away fans in the same stand.
How on earth can you give away fans a better deal in the same stand?
Maybe Bates is trying to entice more away fans, to make up for the Leeds fans that arn't going.
Feasible.
I don't trust Grayson or Bates, I think they're working together, after all, Grayson seems to be Bates little puppet.
LL .........Larry has his dream job & will to an extent do anything in his non powers to keep it, if bowing down to your boss in certain ways means he keeps his job then so be it. Any manager under Bates throught out his tenure where ever he has been has had to do the same, put up or get out. If we are not in the running for a place in the payoffs by xmas then I firmly believe, we will be looking for a new manager
Thinks he can do what he likes and get away with it

I think they're working together
Sun headline :-
"Shock as employee does what his boss says"
I hope my sarcasm makes it through this textual format and makes you realise how stupid those two statements, one from the Op and one from a reply, are.
Zaphod, yes I agree Bates can do what he likes with the club he owns.
There it stops because the fans should not let him get away with it.
Without paying customers Bates has no football club.
He should (if he is a good businessman) think very carefully about how he treats the fans.
There comes a point when many fans say enough is enough and stop attending ER.
No Revies, you're missing the point, what makes you think the FL regulations are being contravened here?
Not talking about the FL.
Its a kick in the teeth for the paying public at Leeds United
Believe it or not without the fans Bates has very little.
He should be getting them onside, not constantly ripping them off
What you are actually saying that it's a 'kick in the teeth for the paying public at Leeds United' that away fans have to pay more for their concessions that Leeds fans.
You can view it either way.
£25 is a rip off for junior tickets IMO but £36 is even worse.
IMO junior tickets should be much less than £25 for both home and away fans.
However the point here is juniors paying different prices in the same stand.
You have to put teh away fans somewhere and you have to allocate them a certain amount of concessions.
I can't believe you are complaining about away fans having to pay more than home fans.
If you just stuck to our ticket prices being too high you'd be on to a winner.
Can't see many pompey fans paying 36 quid either. Away charge is a disgrace only going to make it more expensive for us away. But then again bates doesn't care about the fans
Same stand, same prices, unless you discount prices for seats near the corner flags, both corner flags that is
by moving them into the west stand it opens up the south stand for every game, they offer concession tickets in there which are lower prices than in west stand so going to make it easier for kids to go, just moaning again about everything bates does, this is actually a good thing
Bates needs to make a certain margin at every home game. This margin is split into 2, one half goes offshore and the other half goes into the beeston project, which again slips offshore. So when the gates go down as they will, Bates will increase prices so that he makes the same margin. By the end of the season the 200 fans who are left will be paying £100k per ticket
I'm not going to feel sorry for the away fans on this. I recently paid £40 quid for an away ticket at Ipswich.
But I do think it's ridiculous that there's no concessions in half the ground anyway. Concessions should be everywhere. It's no surprise that the seats that didn't sell for Man Utd were the most expensive ones in the no concessions areas.
to be fair Jonty, what hes trying to fathom out is why WE are paying more than the away fans. I get teh FL rules but I think you are reading his thoughts wrong on this one. I read it as why are they allowed Junior prices in the Same Stand that WE Leeds fans arent allowed them..Should we not have the concessions in the same stand.. I think you are thinking hes complaining they are paying more when in fact they arent..in that stand they are paying less than our kids are... You get me?
Spot on Pags you got it
Yes I agree it is probably bottom of the what is wrong at ER but it is still wrong.
Pags, you have to put the away fans somewhere and you have to give them concessions.
Everyone applauded when Away fans were moved to West Stand now suddenly Revies is complaining about it.
Did we have concessions in the cheese wedge when that was for away fans?
Why does it matter where our concessions are?
You know full well I'd like to see cheaper ticket prices and more concessions but the concession price Pompey fans will pay is £25 wfor a child seat, which is much more expensive than Leeds fans have to pay.
If you can find a Leeds fan who would be happy to pay £25 for their child to sit in that end of the West Stand please let me know. It's pretty much unversally welcomed that Away fans are there now.
So Revies is effectively complaining about a moving of the away fans location which he appluaded at the time, and the fact the away fans are going to pay a lot more than us for their concessions.
Jonty,I am not complaining about putting the away fans in the west stand.
I am saying that home fans should have the same benefits in the same stand.
As for the happy to pay £25 for there kids to sit in the west stand, well there have been matches where kids have to pay the full price when all the concession areas are sold out.
Many kids for example in the east stand center.
Kids concessions should be available in every stand.
Were you calling for the same benefots when they were in the cheese wedge?
Their 'benefit' is to pay far higher for their concessions than we do.
The away fans have to go somewhere, would you ratrher they went in teh kop and then we all hads to move to West stand and pay higher prices?
I can't believe you're still arguing about this, time to move on.
Yes I was.
Kids concessions are worth fighting for
Bates has it so wrong
