Croatia seems like an odd choice, was there a reason he went there rather than a ‘better’ league? Seems like the move has been good for him, just rare to hear a player with such potential leave for that sort of club/country?

He was part of La Masia, but moved there due to lack of chances, said he wanted to gain experience elsewhere and ended up there somehow
I’ve heard La Masia is a bit of a mess at the moment and being run terribly but still, you’d think another Spanish club would be interested, if not someone from the PL, Serie A, Bundesliga or Ligue 1. Croatia just sounds quite an unusual move for a talented kid from Barcelona, good for him for taking that choice as it seems to be working.
