He's racking up some air miles, comes over every other day according to the papers
I would be concerned if we didn't bring in another striker to offer another option to Rashford. None of our options are clinical enough.
I think we’d need another experienced number 9.
Funds will be redeployed on a CM and CB I’d say though if it goes through.
Isnt Ed I Oz?
And why would they need to fly over to negotiate fees ?
Inter are still offering their instalment deal, they pay €10m for the first year and then $60m over the next two years. Fack off.

Why would he be in Australia?
If we didn't replace Lukaku with a centre forward, I'd certainly want to see an inside forward / winger come in. It's all very well hoping that Martial and Rashford will step up as number 9s, but if we can rely on them, that leaves gaps in other areas, and we can't be confident that James and youth players can step up. Many people felt we needed a right winger even before this scenario.

If United get the price they want then I'd have no issues really with staggering the payments as long as it's set in stone that they have to be paid.
I don't think Lukaku is as bad as some make him out to be but if he's not in Ole's plans (I know he has reportedly said he doesn't want him to leave) then it would be best to sell and get someone in who does suit. Ben Yedder seems to be a good fit from what I've read and seen and would leave us quite a bit of cash left over for other positions too.

This basically. I feel though the the club won't sign a RW this summer. I think we'll hold out for Sancho next summer.
I think Ben Yedder would be the sort of savvy, lower cost option that could come into the squad and do well. I also think we'll be seeing a lot of Mason Greenwood playing off of the right hand side. He was outstanding against Cardiff (I was lucky enough to be at OT that day -- despite the result) and offered the sort of threat we haven't seen from that side of the pitch for a long time; going past people, getting into scoring positions, making things happen and looking a real threat all game.
Wouldn’t be against not signing another Centre forward but we cannot neglect the right side of the attack.
Nicolás Pepe is said to be available at under 60 mill. Could be worth a punt

When he is in that scoring position then yes I agree. I think Martial lacks that off the ball movement to get into good positions on a consistent basis.

Yedder seems like a very sensible replacing, I would also worry if we did only go with Rashford, Martial and Greenwood for the reasons Russian stated.
I don’t mind if Inter’s payment us in instalments so they can get through FFP. It’s more important we free up the space and wage than need all the money upfront for future transfers.
