Home games need to be won, still at least we did not lose. Kiko, as usual to blame and Dallas too. Why didn't Nketia play ? Maybe a slow start is better.

We were sussed in the second half of last season and we were sussed today. There are a lot more teams like Forest than Bristol City in this division and they will play the same kind of game against us. For all our possession and movement, we created very few clear cut chances and as hard as he tried, Bamford did not give them much to worry about. We saw a lot of games like this last season and we haven't learned much from them.

This game again typified why we were not promoted. Far the better team, should have won, could have won, deserved to win, but didn't. Similar problems to last season. More pace needed, and chances must be taken, or we will finish again like last season.

......Kiko, as usual to blame
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ellando...really ?!!
watch it back and then come back on here and say you were wrong....if you’re man enough.

absolutely not Kiko...

don’t just get on the “everything about a kiko is poor” band wagon... if he’s at fault, fine. but the ball is 3 yards from goal, an attacker’s about to slam it into the net, and you don’t think he should move forward to spread himself to try and block the shot?
If the attacker hadn’t accidentally sliced it to Grabban, and hit it properly, it would have been an excellent block save from Kiko.

joke... people who make poor comments thinking they know anything about football.

Still, dissappointing result...

Disagree as I said on the other thread. The guy is 5 yards out, what the f*** is he supposed to do?

Salonika, you should have more sense being born in 1958, I was born in 1959 and have followedLeeds since 1972, and will never forget the 1975 Euro final v/s Bayern when we wer robbed by that idiot ref Kitabijan, I think his name was. We know if BPF was always present last season, we would have gone up.

Thought Harrison was outstanding.

Not enough people in the box

Harrison got some good low crosses in too, few good chances created from that.

I've defended him loads but reality today is that Bamford should have scored. Didn't finish our chances today

as i thought.... no idea what you’re talking about, nor man enough to admit it.

...and yes... i was in a Paris in 75 and in Thessaloniki in 73....and yes we were robbed in both, as today....but that nothing to do with appreciating the difference between when a player is to blame for something, and when he absolutely isn’t.

...you’re not a kid.. you’re old enough to know better.

Said it all ready we will not score from a corner or a set piece out wide but will concede plenty, should have won but same team as last year so same problems

If you are going to play Forshaw you want him in his best position not in the oppositions penalty where he will miss. He’s not an attacking midfielder.
Play him as a holding midfielder or don’t play him giving a player more capable of producing an assist or a goal the chance to prosper.

Kiko and Dallas??

Wtf????

posted on 10/8/19

Salonika, what I'm saying is that there was no reason to replace BPF. Kiko's positioning was dreadful during that set piece, and he did not spread his body across to stop that ball(it would have disturbed his hairdo !), I have said time and time again that he's a liability, but MB likes him taking risks and all !

Agreed. Do not need 2 holding midfielders at home Philips plays that role. We need someone more positive who can make things happen and maybe score a few themselves. Forshaw just isn't that player

Ellando, BPF v KIKO is a separate issue. If Bielsa doesn’t agree with you, that’s no reason to blame Kiko where there’s no blame (and I do agree there’ll be times soon where he will be). I just rewatched their goal again, and I simply cannot see how you can say he was badly positioned and that he did not throw his body across. Have you actually seen it back? He absolutely did this spreading himself in front of their No 14 Mir, who mis-hit it to Grabben.

If you can’t see that then let’s just agree to disagree, but don’t feel it’s fair to lay blame where it’s not due.

Agree about Kiko selonki.. thought his footwork and distribution were brilliant today..,didn’t have much else to do

salonika, I just had a look again on sky, maybe you have a point, from a different angle, he might not be totally to blame. I might be a bit biased I admit.

This. Our best player today.

posted on 10/8/19

Whoever was defending the near post of the corner was at fault. Should have been dealt with right there.

Kiko was fine today.

Best player : Harrison
Good performances from all
Below par: Forshaw i didnt think did enough.

Who was is it out on the right who passed the ball in to the Leeds area and Grabben nearly had a chance from it?

Fair play.....but adding the words ‘might’ & ‘totally’ do actually prove your bias! 😉
