If you put the fence post in pointy end first then you can fit it in gradually but the other way around hurts too much.

Definitely needs to be more done to stop this abuse on social media. You should have to provide proof of identity to verify your account. It would stop a lot of bullying in addition to the racial abuse.

My instant gram got hacked and sent a virus in messages to people so it got deactivated. I then had to send a photo of myself to them holding a piece of paper with my username on it to prove that I own the account. That could be a good thing to do when you set up an account. Although easily manipulated maybe.

Imagine the costs.
Reality is that making people pay a nominal fee or register a credit card is the easiest way to ensure accurate identification and for people to be traceable if required.
Concerns around privacy are understandable but a little bit flawed given how many businesses we share our details with these days.

This. Every time you use your card, the merchant copy of the receipt contains your long card number and expiry date, although on the customer copy all but the last 4 digits are starred out.
