Early days of course, but I would say 1 win in 5 is a disappointing start particularly when you have played the two bottom teams.
I am expecting the BC trophy to be up for grabs and I hope we give it a good go. As you say, winning breeds confidence and with a big crowd getting it done would be the cherry on the cake to a decent couple of weeks
Hopefully we can get another classic Baz pre game prediction as per Fulham 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hope you lose
Preston is a much more important game imo but a low stakes game for bragging right is always tastey. I feel derby will throw a lot more weight behind getting a result tonight but we have good quality in depth and will always have our power cards on the bench if needed.
Could see Muric, riberio, worral, chema, jenkinson, sow, bostock, silva, cash/appiah, adomah, mir as our stating line up. A mix of reliable players and some chances given to those on the wings
Winning does breed winning but playing watson dawson or grabban would be pretty reckless as atleast one star player is always written off to the medical table early season vs derby.

I’d leave out Dawson, Jenkinson, Watson, Lolley and Grabban. Although I’d probably have Lolley and Grabban on the bench.
Samba
Cash Worrall Chema Ribieiro
Bostock Sow
Adamoah Johnson Appiah
Mir
Smith Figueiredo Jenkinson Semedo Lolley Carvalho Grabban
I think we have enough to win with the above and enough to turn the game with a strong bench.
2-2 Forest (win on penalties)
The Brian Clough Trophy is up for grabs. It is in any competitive game between the sides. Currently has red and white ribbons attached to it. Forest are unbeaten in six at the CG versus the Rams. Confident that run will continue.
You nicked my score prediction Chile! 😮
I think Forest will make a fair few changes. Hoping to see plenty from the Academy get their chance. Appiah and Johnson should be striving to be involved in games like this.
Dowell reckons he will be getting the boos from the Reds tonight. I don’t think he was established enough as Forest player to illicit that bad a response really. He played half a season from what I can remember, as talented as he was.
Lamouchi will learn a lot about the El Cloughico rivalry tonight. I wonder what he will make of it?
Carvalho to get his season underway this evening. I think he will revel in the fast possession game that Lamouchi is trying to establish at Forest. Hopefully Carvalho will find himself more on the front foot with it.
Looking forward to an ‘open’ entertaining cup tie, both would love to win, but in all honesty is not going to be season defining. Both are likely to make changes, both managers will ‘talk up’ the importance, but will still be focussed on the weekend, until kick off that is, then they will get their first taste of an ‘El Cloughico’, and realise it’s not just another game to the fans. Hopefully, we can carry a bit of form and sneak a victory, my guess Forest by the odd goal.😁
Heard from my son that Yates's has closed for good. Part of my youth extinguished. Many happy hours spent within its doors and many painful hangovers to recover from. Is nothing sacred?
Bolton, Bury and now Yates’s, a very sad day for all.🌹
Definitely worth a minutes silence/applause,

It isn’t as important as a league game. It’s a bit of a free hit really. Both sides won’t be at full strength certainly. Chance for the second string to stake a claim kind of situation.
Hope it fails miserably. Did a slug and lettuce pub ever have a palm court orchestra.
Will be a few changes. Muric will be back in. Watson and Dawson will have a rest. Lolley might not be risked. But on paper the team will be strong enough to win it.

Yes, Muric and Samba’s game of honey cokey looks like it will continue. 😏
You go back a long way Spart. The orchestra was before my time even. I do remember the quartet though
I used the word orchestra as it was greater than 3. I knew the niece of the violinist, he was an alcoholic.
Remember being in Yates's when two policemen walked in and made a bee line for a customer. Seeing them he picks up a pint and downs it in one. They cuff him and take him out.
Guy comes back from the bogs and shouts, where's my pint gone.
