Of course mate, but we just haven’t got going. We’ve gone from being pressing dnd dynamic to slow and ponderous.
Poch appears to have some issues with Verts / Eriksen and would rather keep his pride intact than play these two. Fullback situation is a concern as well as we haven’t replaced Walker and Rose, while still decent, has regressed.
Winks and Sissoko as a CM pairing at home to Newcastle was a joke as well. Clearly Eriksen should have started that game.
Tbf this is the pep effect. The prem league is now a sprint form.game 1. No more of this marathon b0llox. You fall 5 points behind city before xmas it might as well be game over.

I asked this question on a Spurs article and nobody answered but how do you know it's not club policy to not play players who aren't signing a new deal?
MoreSpunk always dissapears for at least a week when Spurs lose. It's absolute bliss.

I did actually see you ask that.
I’m not sure tbh, but I would be surprised if it was. If it’s club policy (and ultimately Levy’s decision) it seems a bit counterproductive. Levy is clearly a person to whom finances matter most and if not playing out best players endangers CL qualification I very much doubt he’d be in agreement. Besides, I don’t remember such a policy being in effect before Poch arrived. We’ve had Modric, Berbatov etc playing when it was obvious they wanted to leave.

Lucky?

of course.
he cannot legislate for all injuries.
he's done a brilliant job with his fitness guru and his dietary genius to the point that most of the players are bullet proof. the sad truth is if some thug slams into salah and breaks his leg then that's just bad luck.
it's always better to be lucky as well as a genius.
for us to win the league our front 3 must stay fit most of the time.
