Reality and Pain

Takes me a day or two to get over for the most. The CL final took me a solid week. I normally stay away from news sites and this site in particular during that time.

I do think things are off at the moment and there a lot of issues. I think those contract situations are causing big problems so at least the window will be closing next Tuesday.

I think we need to have a little patience and see if Poch and the players can turn it around. Our Loyalties are always to the clubs but maybe we should give the manager and players some. When things are going great we expect them to be loyal to the club but when things are not going well our patience goes out of the window and we want to get rid.

GG I don't care if we win or lose. I want to be entertained. Watch Spurs in traditional typical style. Playing with flair, excitement, drive, determination.

THIS is what we lifelong supporters are accustomed to.

Nothing more nothing less.

Bill Nicholson said, 'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.' it was listed as the 4th greatest managerial quote in the Daily Mail's List of the 'Top 50 Managerial Quotes'.

I'm the eternal optimist, but this run of form we're in is starting to remind me of the AVB era. Drab performances, struggling to win games despite being superior, overly reliant on one player..

Don't get me wrong - Poch is obviously a different breed - but he's far from perfect and at the end of the day the buck stops with him. I'm sure he can pull us out of our slump but if he doesn't the club have to be decisive. No more Sherwoods.

Let`s be fair mate, if AVB or Sherwood was serving up this rubbish and this form, their would be 100 per cent consensus that they had to be sacked. For some reason Poch seems to be getting away with murder.

Sandy

In all honesty we have been punching above our weight for several seasons.

There can be no doubt that the team that should have won something was the team that came second to Leicester.
Kane was banging in the goals - one season wonder, they all said - and Rose and Walker were blazing down the wings.
We were young then! We are older now, and not so good.
Today this team is at a crossroads.
Replacements, rebuilding, discord and disarray.
Losing to teams it should beat easily.

I'm going to wait and see what happens the next two or three games before making any predictions.

Probably because he is the one responsible for elevating us to a level where we expect/demand more. It’s called having kudos, credit in the bank. Poch has earned the right to be given time and patience during a difficult period. Only an idiot would want him out at this point. Knee jerk reactions rarely solve anything.

No manager has credit when the results start to go badly wrong. Even Billy Nicholson found that out.

Well we really haven`t mate, we have had a very good side for two or three seasons. Best striker in the league, some of the best midfielders in the league, best central defenders and probably fullbacks in the league. But now the team is starting to break up, the manager doesn`t seem to know how to halt the slump.

I've always said there is a right way to lose, if after Sunday every player had given 100% bit we still lost them I couldn't ask for more.

The problem is no one bar probably Lloris and Toby are .

Ace, Not sure you can call supporters idiots for asking serious questions about a manager that has Spurs sitting in 18th place in a form table since April. I think you should be calling them sensible that they are awake to the impeding car crash that is going on.

Not saying you are not entitled to an opinion, but so are those that want Poch out now. Nobody should be called idiots for giving an opinion.
