Poch

From the outside, he comes across to me as someone who's ever more frustrated about transfer policy, and the funds he's always promised to buy and mould a trophy-winning team never materialising.

I love Poch but I think any Coach has a shelf life of 3-4 years max unless you are a Ferguson or Wenger !!

Well that’s ridiculous because you only know those coaches are capable of longevity after the fact.

We’ve had a difficult calendar year, no question. Even so we managed to cling onto 4th and reach the CL final. Amazing how many of our fans are willing to throw our best manager for 35 years to the lions rather than a) apply some context to our situation and b) have some patience.

Poch's Tottenham will always start slow, and then go on to string a crazy run of results together, before predictably collapsing over the final months.

A positive result against Arsenal this weekend, and he will suddenly revert to god status among the Spurs faithful.

No one's buying this anti-Poch bollox.

At this point Im more worried about his possible departure would have on guys like Kane, Dele etc and them maybe wanting out than I am about losing him as a coach.

I think he would have quit after the CL had we won and I think that says everything about where his head is. I think he feels as though he cant do anymore than what he's done and I think the way we are playing is reflection that the players feel the same way

Nothing lasts for forever. He has overdelivered for Levy and probably expects something back in terms of financial backing to meet his ambitions... sadly I dont think he'll ever get it

I would suggest getting someone like Nuno at Wolves but I can set him leaving there to work for Levy... He has a good gig

he fked me off days before biggest game in our history and hes waffling on about leaving , as if its all about him. Then drops moura without even chatting to him about it and came out with some boooooolocks about it being an analytical decision whatever the fk that means

im very meh about him and spurs if truth be told

so does it make a great manager to have a great team and win fk all or a shiiit team and win something

If so then Ramos and Graham are better managers

If he keeps picking the wrong starting 11, playing shlt football and losing games he will get sack and he will deserve it

Was just back over our past managers. 2011/2012 with Harry Redknapp, we beat Newcastle 5-0 at Home. Defoe and Bales were both playing and even they didn't get any of those goals...

Those were the days!

Oh, Redknapp qualified us for CL then too. Too bad he was sacked by Levi/Lewis. Strange

Yes, once in 4 seasons. He was given plenty of money to spend too.

He was sacked because he squandered a guaranteed CL place in the January and wound up in the Europa after our form dropped off a cliff while he flirted with the England managers role, and refused to sign a new contract. He is also alleged to have made some unsavoury comments about Levy while Levy was attending his mother’s funeral in America, if I recall correctly. I thought you followed Spurs?

""I went to a dinner with Daniel [Levy] at Christmas. He took all the staff out and he made a speech, which isn’t Daniel-like. I was embarrassed the way he spoke about me. "Kevin [Bond] and Joe [Jordan] said ‘He doesn’t show his feelings but he certainly showed his feelings towards you today, Harry’. There were other directors there, months later I was gone . . . quite amazing really."

""Was it Levy who cut the cord? It was other people, the owner of the club [Lewis] that decided."

Poch is an unlucky manager, when you look at the way the PL has shaped up since he took over. It's currently the hardest it's ever been to win thanks to the overspending of City and the dominance that has come from that.

We had no real right to win the PL in 2015/16, but came the closest of all the top 6 and only a one in a million Leicester coming from nowhere stopped that. Next season a rejuvenated Chelsea with no European football were the difference. All the while our rivals are outspending us.

You can blame Poch for certain selections in certain games but the bigger picture is he's punched above his weight and been unlucky. Yet people still ask more of him. Why don't you ask more of the board? The only arguable time they have shown ambition to try and win one of the big prizes has been this summer and even then things could have been done better.

As it stands I would take a manager who wins trophies every day of the week. Ramos and Grahma were not everybody`s cup of tea, but they both delivered, and nobody can take that away from them. Poch has had a lot more time than both, with much better players, and has not delivered a bean, so something not right.

You cannot say any manager has been unlucky when they have only won four Prem games in six months, and all against either relegated, promoted or relegation threatened teams. The excuses do cut it any more mate.

The football being played today is no better than the stuff under Ramos or AVB. Just there seems to be a love in for Poch. Results wise currently Poch is probably doing worse than both.
