Have to feel sorry for Shaktar. Not easy to play your 'home' games a hundred miles from home because Putin has parked his tanks on your home ground. Beats Jose's bus parking I suppose.

Was the perfect game really after the weekend. Thought we made it a bit harder than we should have done in terms of not killing the game off far sooner, but was good for Fernandinho to get some minutes at cb. Nice to see Mendy come on too, how many games do we give him before he’s injured...?

City doing England proud (until the annual quarter final humiliation)

I wouldn’t cal the spurs game a humiliation by any stretch. One of the most depressing games (although one of the best) I’ve seen live, granted!

Good performance is the main thing. Fern solid at cb, but I had the strong impression that the players were very keen to avoid covering corners!

Should run a sweep on the amount of minutes Mendy plays before getting his place in the Physio room back.

Pep commented after the match that the 2 CD's couldn't play 2 games a week at their age and its only a temp situation. There was a hint Walker could move inside but that it will all be worked out on the training ground.

I also think that Pep was very aware that it was an ideal game for rotation and experimentation and don't expect the same against Watford.

Who do you think will be your first choice left back going forward, if Mendy stays fit? (big if obviously)

Perfect game after saturdays shizzle show.

Good opportunity for Pep to show us his best here, I mean he managed to make Kolarov look a convincing cb for 6 months after all...

Wouldnt be surprised to see Bernardo Silva fashioned into a wing back 😂 interesting opening half of the season ahead.

It is going to be fun watching how he juggles the pack. I think Sane is as big a miss as the cbs, there’s been games already that were crying out for his directness.

Flying the flag....until you meet a half decent team in the quarters.

Would love to have him fit, even last night there was a glimpse of what he can do with those incredibly quick and accurate ballas into the box.

Keep winning our games and top the group. I think the other English teams need to worry more about the knockout stages if this week is anything to go by.

Hopefully the long plane journey has made the players tired.

I kind of like Spurs, partly cause I'm friendly with a couple of Spurs fans. Also because as a club they even manage to surpass us in feck ups. e.g Tuesday night, crusin 2 goals up what could possibly go wrong?
