Was to be expected tbf. What a fkn horrible battle the guy had to fight. Very difficult seeing him deteriorate, can only imagine how hard it was for him and his family. RIP

Always sad when an ex player who are heroes to many and even to those that loved to hate them on the other side that's a mark of respect.
In this case it's so much worse only a few years older than I am and his last few years were stolen from him.
Can only hope displays like this outside Ibrox and indeed gestures from Celtic and feyenoord during the minutes applause give the family some pride and comfort in knowing what their man meant to people
RIP Fernando. Hopefully that turnout does give the family comfort of just how regarded he was.
Been watching the funeral today and theres some heart wrenching clips, the one when his we lassie comes out the car in front of Ibrox had me in tears.

Always remember him for setting aff fireworks through Thompson's door after an OF game
Horrible illness, what that must have been like for him and his family to go through is beyond words.
Who was it he chucked in the swimming pool?
Thats just ruined my 20k watch! Fernando said 20k and its not waterproof? haha

There is something particularly difficult to take about this disease that can take a fit strong athlete and just destroy them in front of your eyes at such a young age.
Seeing the love and respect people had for Fernando is heart warming but the scenes are still difficult to take.
Forty fookin three man. No age at all.
