It's not that I've seen things in him that I think means he has what it takes.
I don't feel qualified to make that judgement and so I can only really form an opinion based on what I see on the pitch and overall results.
But when you consider all the things I've mentioned - current squad, player comings and goings, the use of youth etc. - then I just think it's too early to make a judgement.
I'm not saying I think he will brilliant. I'm saying it's too early to tell either way.
He has the job, so we either back him or we don't.

Fair points but already a section of the Fan base has lost faith and without an upturn in results the number of fans losing faith will grow.
It will boil down to patience from fans and crucially the board at United.
Playing youth should not be a determining factor in a manager keeping his job if results are poor though especially at United.

Match going fans haven't though, and that's far more important than this forum!
But yes, I agree - if the fans are restless then that is a problem and so we need to see signs of encouragement, which I think we will.
Take Tuanzebe last night. I thought he did really well for 40 minutes, then started to tire a little and that's probably what contributed to his mistake for their goal.
Ups and downs.
As long as it's not all downs, I can cope with that as can most match going fans I know.

Well yes, there are some extreme examples where it could happen.
But I think it's very unlikely. Even if we're struggling, I just think they knew what they were taking on and did it intentionally, knowing that the club needed a big clear out.

Frank and Chelsea are doing well, but it's not like he's had to scrape the barrel from the youth teams. Chelsea have been buying up the best talents in the world and loaning them out since Roman took-over. They aren't poor players with no experience that he's having to piece together.
Not taking anything away from him though as you still have to make it work and he seems to be starting to do that.

I predicted United for seventh when I did a prediction league at the start of the season, which is the lowest I’ve ever put them. That was based just on a gut feel
though and 3-7 were all a bit interchangeable.
