I know it was only a friendly and it was only half the team out there and they had had a lot more acclimatisation time but doesn't it show the gulf in class between where we are and the Premier League that a poor team like that beat us so easily.
We have an awful long way to go before we can even start to gloat.
What does this mean "A total of 14 points from their past 15 games is better only than Southampton (13), Brighton (12) and Watford (10) of the 14 clubs who have been in the Premier League throughout his time in charge"?

Absolutely awful corporation
Why would they take into consideration promoted and relegated teams when those teams haven’t been in the same league and are playing a completely different set of games?

They're only drawing on sides that have played the same/similar amount of games. Teams like Norwich will be worse because they have played less games. Norwich have played slightly over half the amount of games as Manchester United, for instance.
Leeds would kill to be in their position
What they've done is taken out the relegated teams (20-3=17) and then taken out the promoted teams from what's left (17-3=14). I assume this is to emphasise a point.
What it should of course read is "A total of 14 points from their past 15 games is better only than Southampton (13), Brighton (12) and Watford (10) of the 17 clubs who have been in the Premier League throughout his time in charge".
They need to proof read their articles. Sloppy.

Exactly and p155es us off listening to Premier League supporters whinge beacuse they are only in fifth or sixth position and haven't spent 300milliion on players.
Lubo, Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Burnley, West Ham, Tottenham, Bournemouth, Wolves, Brighton, Newcastle, Southampton, Everton and Watford.
17 if you include Man Utd, 16 if you don't.
They've all played 8 league games this season and assuming Solsjkaer and as they are comparing the last 15 league games, it doesn't matter if teams had games in hand or not last season.
Leeds would kill to be in their position

Without a doubt but would love it even more if we swapped places.

Norwich have played 8 games in the PL, so to match Man United would have needed to win five and draw once. Obviously they shouldn't be included in the example because they haven't played anywhere near the same amount of games. If we are treating it like you then I imagine all three newly promoted teams have probably picked up more points over the last 15 games than Man United.
Cardiff City have won more away games in the PL than Man United since Solskjaer took over permanently. Bury have won away more recently than Man United, and they don't exist atm.
All stats are made to illustrate one point or another, but you're complaint seems to be particularly unfounded to me.

Maybe so.
Maybe your supporters (and supporters of one or two other clubs) should be a little more grateful and relieved that you're not in the same position as many other clubs and stop whinging just because you're having a bad run at present.

Sorry Lubo, Norwich are not on my list, I don't get your point, the BBC journalist clearly hasn't proof read their article.
Solskjær signed a permanent contract with Manchester Utd on 28th March. Since making the contract permanent they have the 14th best form of those teams who have played solely in the Premier League with only Southampton, Brighton and Watford having a worse record.
Ludo, note that neither the relegated teams, nor the promoted teams nor for that matter Bury or Old Etonians are included in my summary which is correct and what I believe the Journo meant.
