Mendietta was pure class

He was brilliant..I thought best midfielder in the world for a couple of seasons..but did he not fade a bit later in his career. My recollection is that he never got back to his best but I could be wrong.

Saw Eusabio play but I was only a lad. It was quite a buzz him coming to Glasgow.
He was probably second only to pele at that time and since it was pre-1970 a lot would have had him ahead.
