I did explain...8 year old...too young to get to Chelsea...all the kids round our way supported Pompey and another team... (old 1st division)
Started going to Fratton Park at about 12/13 actually had an aunt lived four doors away from the fratton end entrance

You don’t support two teams. That’s ridiculous. You support one

Why can't you support 2 teams? It is a bit weird, because they would have been in the same league a fair few seasons, but not unthinkable. That is like saying how can you have a wife and a mistress.

I support Chelsea, but follow Fulham and Bees too.

When I was a kid if CHelsea were away outside London (like until I was 13 or so and started going to provincial aways), I used to go Fulham (80p or bunk in at half-time), Bees and Rangers too as we got free tickets (Schools End).

Gotta say it was a bit of a dilemma when Pompey reached the Prem...I mean who saw that coming...not me
Will admit I had a slight inkling for Chelsea to come out on top...but it was tough...especially the FA CUP final

In the real sense of attending games yes...added to that there was no footy on telly then bar the cup final and world cup

In the 80s I used to be in the Midlands ( work) used to go to all sorts of games in the local area and further north - Bolton Blackburn etc

Attended 2 games on the day of the Bradford fire...stoke v Chelsea 11:30 and west brom v Goonz 3pm
Strange day

posted on 22/10/19

These days it is even easier to support two teams, considering the top teams very rarely play a Saturday 3pm'er.

You support one team but can have an affinity of sorts with others.

First game I attended was a Charlton vs. Porto friendly at The Valley, ever since I've had a strong soft spot for that club. Porto were managed by some young upstart called Jose Mourinho on the day.... was meant to be
