Coomon sense at last, LST. There were two decent teams out there today in awful conditions, we lost a few of games like that last season, but we weren't bullied out of it today.
Kiko made a number of high quality saves, yes we could have had 5 but they could have had about the same.
Irrespective of whether we could’ve played better or not, sometimes you just gotta give credit to opposition teams.
Sheff Weds and Preston are decent teams. A point away at both ain’t a disaster.
9 games against top half opposition. (4 away/13pts)
5 games against bottom half opposition (4 away/12pts)
8 away, 6 home games
Fairly tough run so being up there is decent.
7 of our next 8 are against bottom half opposition.
5 of our next 8 are at home.
Let’s see where we are after that.

I noticed Jermaine Beckford also said he’d have both Bamford and Nketiah playing together. Why is Bielsa so tunnel-visioned? Surely there is a way to accommodate both being on the pitch together? It is surely worth a try. I just wish the rest of the team could chip in with some goals. I can’t see the team as promotion material the way they are playing at the moment. I’m just hoping we are having a mediocre first half of the season and, by some miracle, we sign a decent striker in January and have a fantastic 2nd half - just for a change!
I thought Eddie played more of a team game, tracking back a lot. Perhaps he heard Bielsa comparing his play to that of Bamford and has realized what he has to do to become a starter and regular in a Bielsa team.
