Looking for the positives but once again you stick to form!

Apart from that a pretty rubbish post.

First half Bamford was a fingernail width of scoring. He’s in position. He heads across the keeper into the far corner. The keeper makes a great save.

If anything Eddie played much deeper than Bamford and at least twice he lost the ball in dangerous positions and Wednesday attacked us from them.

A good point against a decent side at home. We never looked in danger until the second half - make of that what you will.

Thank you for posting - it's always good to read a match report here if you haven't seen the game. Toothless once again, then? Well at least we came away with a point, I suppose. Got to look on the bright side if poss.

Jaz we did have a couple of good chances bamford header well saved and Alioski hit post but we never feel like scoring weds had better chances and really had us at sixes and sevens at the back at times.

Am I only one who was shocked that white got man of match.

Thought second half he was Ropey. First time this season so not knocking him

Liking positive:

West Brom drew at home and had a straight red.

Preston managed a win and move above us on GD.

Both have two away games to our two home games next.

This league is scary! Xmas will sort out the men from the boys I think.

Strange league!

West Brom last two games - 2 points at home against Barnsley (bottom of league) and Charlton.

Leeds last two games - 2 points away to Preston and Wednesday - both top six.

Which would you choose?

As posted on another thread...

irrespective of whether we could’ve played better or not, sometimes you just gotta give credit to opposition teams.
Sheff Weds and Preston are decent teams. A point away at both ain’t a disaster.

9 games against top half opposition. (4 away/13pts)
5 games against bottom half opposition (4 away/12pts)
8 away, 6 home games

9-10 matches of West Brom, Sheffield Weds, Preston have been against bottom half teams.

Fairly tough for us v what our main opponents have faced, run so being up there is decent.

7 of our next 8 are against bottom half opposition.
5 of our next 8 are at home.

Let’s see where we are after that.

I'd like to see Bamford and Eddie start next game now. Drop Harrison and let's see if that can solve our goal drought.

Thought white was excellent.

Whole defence was up against it second half hence why Cooper comes on but why did we’d come so much more into match? I felt our midfield was overrun Harrison and Dallas offered nothing defensively today and Alioski just isn’t promotion side calibre I feel, he’s lucky to be at Leeds.

This time last season we were just about ready to embark on a six game winning streak. What a great time to repeat that eh?

Need to win the next two at home and see where that takes us,

Yet Alioski keeps out our regular left back-and hits the bar.

Can Douglas do any better?

And let Costa roam bit more maybe.

We deserved a point. We dominate more with Bamford on the pitch. Thought White had a great game overall.

Another clean sheet against a well-drilled team but there's no doubt we can play to another level and it's disappointing that we aren't fulfilling our potential.

Kiko had a great game, perhaps a more logical choice for MOM. Clean sheet, thought Alioski was indifferent at times but unlucky/lucky with his chance. Didn't think Berardi did much wrong.

57% possession but as I now know, stats mean nothing...

Klich isn't effective enough at the moment. Harrison is creative but lacks consistency.

Getting Forshaw and Hernandez back will improve the team.

We lack a cutting edge. Nketiah comes too deep. 4-4-2 is a logical step forward or 3-5-2.

Alioski was poor today, he had a bad game. But imo he's been very good at left back this season. Part of a defence that has conceded just 8 goals in 14 games, he gets up and down the pitch so well and is a goal threat too.

Nketiah came deep because we were under the cosh, I’d have preferred him to be more upfield but he needs to be given ball more often. Im glad he was back on goal line though!

Bamford was dropping deep when we were on top and
consequently was rarely in good position when needed.

Yep, spot on match report that to be fair

It's the start of the Championship Steeplechase as the riders approach the bend, it's Albion setting the early pace with the Lilywhites and Peacocks in close attendance, not much separating the first 12, we approach the first hurdle and anything could happen...
don't throw away your dockets just yet.

I thought Eddie played more of a team game, tracking back a lot. Perhaps he heard Bielsa comparing his play to that of Bamford and has realized what he has to do to become a starter and regular in a Bielsa team.

From Bielsa’s after match report it seems he was much happier with Eddie’s all round game. His previous issue with him was that he was only effective around the opposition box. Now he sees he can track back and even make goal line clearances.

Seems Bamford took a knock so maybe we will see a full start for Eddie next Saturday. Hope so because as much as I like and defend Bamford I think Eddie deserves his chance over 90 minutes.
