I’ve been a critic so will front up and say he earnt us a point today - excellent... actually thought the tip round the post from the cross that was going in in the second half was the pick of them.

Totally agree Shaun..

His footwork is so good he’s like the extra centre back when we have the ball. He’s more than just a keeper.

Always supported him, though I do concede he’s got a howler in him.. I do think he will cost us points somewhere but, I do think he gains points too.

Would rather Kiko than BPF any day of the week

Really improved at crosses this season.

Been impressed with him all season

Today he was excellent.

2 outstanding saves today that I’m not sure any other keeper in the division could make.

How did he get to that shot from Fletcher? It was hit so hard, I thought Fletcher had blasted it wide, but the replay showed Kiko tipping it over. Amazing goalkeeping.

The ball bobbled up allowing Fletcher to get underneath the ball and smash it high. Terrific stop, not sure which save was better, the second finger tip save was equally superb.

Just needs consistency now, then we'd have a cracking keeper.

Kiko has been good this season so far bar the Charlton game. Hes had a solid unit in front of him which at present is defending better than we were end of last season.

Cooper for Costa was a spot on for me. We were losing the battle physically all over the pitch in the second half so bring on your softest player for a hard nut was definitely in order

"bring on your softest player for a hard nut was definitely in order"

I've just worked out why Vinnie hasn't been playing for so long!.

Would have brought Harrison off, atleast Costa has pace on the break, not that we break with pace often.

Yep we break forward like a glacier, defence have time to make a cuppa before we get the ball into the box.

You don't concede only 8 goals if your keeper is no good

Been very good this season and he's looking to be a good signing now. Our defence is very strong, just wish going forward we were the same

Yeah agree. Good to point out a positive.

Except if he’s called felix?

Is our defence strong? We don’t really play with defenders. We don’t concede goals because we dominate the ball and win it back high up the pitch. Not knocking the defence, they’re doing their job. But it’s a result of the defending from the front.

It’s exactly why bielsa is wary of playing 2 up top... we might take a greater percentage of chances (have better ones) but also will not control the ball as much, will likely create fewer chances and cough up more opportunities for the opposition... where the fact that we have wingers as full backs is more likely to get exposed - look how easily wed were able to bang in crosses yesterday.

Very good comment!

That's true Milky, the individual defenders are doing their jobs well though and doing what they need. Our style means we don't need a Jansson or Bartley, winning loads of headers and sliding in. White and Berardi needed to sweep up possession, intercept passes, and be composed on the ball to get us playing again. Which they did very well yesterday.
