I'm dreading tomorrow, I've never liked Halloween to be honest.

Just stay under the covers and close your eyes... Remember, it is always darkest before the dawn.

When I worked in retail quietest months/periods of the year were February/March and October....

So they pushed Valentines day and Halloween.

All commercial based

Is there one particular thing you are scared of mattth, (witches? ghosts? pumpkins?) or just the whole thing?

You'd have thought it would be the one day of the year Matth would excel.

Agreed, i hate halloween.

Grown men and women dressing up as superheroes etc. Cringe as fook.

Been invited to a party and the missus pestered me to say yes for weeks, finally caved then decided actually no chance so she's been told to go on her own. I'll get non stop grief until Saturday but the foot is down.

Though i might lighten up when she returns home dressed as the Khaleesi wanting to pump me

Money for menace's

There's not really much to be scared of round where you live though Matth to be fair. I do get annoyed with how Americanised it's become though with trick or treat. What's wrong with taking a home made ouija board to the cemetary like we used to do back in the day?

Why do people have this misconception that Hallowe'en is another Valentines' Day?

It is literally the oldest holiday that we celebrate today (in the Christian calendar, anyway) at >2000 years and pre-dates Christmas!

Yes, like all things, it is being commercialised and exploited for money with cheesy deals and propaganda; but let's not detract from the brilliant history of it.

Personally my favourite time of year.

My kids love trick or treat. It's definitely better, well safer than it was in my day.
If a house has a pumpkin outside then we knock, if not, you don't.
There's no longer eggs or/and flour being flung around.

Parents 51 weeks a year:

"Don't take sweets from strangers and don't play with fire"

Also parents for a week in Autumn every year:

"Put your costume on, get as many sweets as you can from those houses and here's a hot sparkler for you"

if your gonna come to my house trick or treating you do it proper, don't wrap a bin bag around yourself and walk around with a carrier bag begging for sweets cuz you will get f**k all from me, saying that I probably wont open the door like every year anyway

Stick on a trench coat and you’d pass for a very passable Uncle Fester

I can’t wait until mine is old enough to take out! Think of all that MILF ready to pounce on
