Ozil is certainly talented and can make a big contribution to a game on the rare occasions he gets out of bed the right side. Cant see him being at Arsenal for much longer. Xhaka's days may also be numbered.

Kolasinac, Maitland Niles and Willock all evidently ended last night's game with injuries

Have to think this game is right down our alley, they are a shambles and we should exploit them on the counter.

That said i fear we will sit back way to much as usual and then just hope to capitalise on about four or five chances created rather than really give them a going over.

Arsenal failed to beat Wolves last season, the game at the Emirates we were very lucky to get a point in the end. It's a tough one to call and will go either way.

Our defence minus Boly weren’t overly tested against an impotent Newcastle attack. I’m sure they will get more of a test on Saturday and how effective they are will probably decide the game

No confidence for us to do anything right at the moment. The fact we scored 5 goals at Anfield and still couldn’t win tells you all you need to know about where we are right now.

I never want us to drop points in any game, but at the same time, I want Emery gone ASAP. If dropping points here leads to him losing his job (especially as we have Leicester the following week), then it could be for the greater good of the club. Because right now, nothing he does seems to work.

I suspect we will monopolise possession to begin with, score a goal, then cede territory, invite pressure and lose.

This is quite literally the polar opposite of us

You’d think it was the polar opposite of Burnley and Watford too, yet looked what happened there.

You will find a way of piling pressure on us to win the game because we will inevitably drop off and sit deeper. Not that it ever works, but Mr Emery seems to instruct his players to do the same thing.

If bottom of the league Watford can batter us, there’s no reason why you can’t.

If Nuno issues his usual defend, defend, defend instruction and Mr Emery does as you say. We could end up with the two teams glaring at one another across a middle third no-mans land.

Alternatively we could play Traore, Jiminez and Jota as we probably will and give Arsenal plenty to think about. With Doherty and Jonny getting forward wide also maybe it will be another 5-5

Good news for all of us if true.

At the moment we are only 3 points off the top 6. If we are that close in the new year, and still in Europe, and strengthen in January. Could be an even better season than last

I disagree, i think it is good news for me and alright news for the rest of you

Lets be honest, there is no way that Fosun will have been enjoying our league start which has been flat to say the least and the good thing that this start does highlight our weaknesses.

It was obvious to a blind man we had a pretty poor transfer window on the back of doing nothing last January.

In case anybody wondered, Boly apparently slipped whilst doing jacks in training and not the victim of a careless tackle

I am sure Fosun will be absolutely delighted with how our season is going. Close to matching or even bettering our league position, every chance of still being in the Europa League in the new year, selling out every match home and away, big merchandise sales, increased brand awareness in China, Mexico and many other countries.

The reason they wouldn’t be happy is what?

Perhaps you missed it, I said 'league start'.

You may think two wins in ten is good enough but I don't and neither will they.

Probably because Fosun are not fans, they are investors. They will look at things more objectively than your standard supporter.

If you do that, you have to question whether our current style of play is sustainable or whether we can keep progressing and increase our status long term as we are currently. The answer is almost definitely no.

So whilst they are likely to be pleased that we have managed to still achieve in the short term; they are likely to not be overly pleased with the overall style and also the form in the league this season. Something that they will no doubt look to help us improve on rather than pretend everything is perfect like a lot of fans.

Yes I do think being half way in the league is good enough cinciwolf, And given the added pressure and games that the Europa League has brought most people I know were predicting halfway would be where we would finish. Being half way means not winning as many games as when you finish 7th.

As you are so disappointed by our season I guess you were one of those that thought we would smash the top 6 despite Europe. If that was your view I think that was over ambitious

my fault there for reading before signing in sorry

Who are these people that think everything is perfect? Perfection is never achieved. But I for one am more positive than most on this site it seems, and I don’t think Fosun will be overly down about what some people think about our style. At the end of the day Molineux will be packed to the rafters twice next week and the mood will be as positive as it has been since Nuno was here

Anyway you need to be careful about complaining. Reading that George Elokobi who plays for Maidstone nowadays went in to the crowd to confront a fan who was moaning. You wouldn't want to be confronted by him!

If we had beaten Villa we could have been at home to Liverpool in the QF. However it seems that tie may not happen. On the date of the next round Liverpool are playing in the World Club Championships. And with Xmas following soon after the match may not be able to be fitted in. So either Villa could get a bye, or Liverpool could surrender their place and then Villa would play Arsenal

Makes a mockery of the football calendar, did they not notice there was a clash? So Arsenal could win the cup despite having been knocked out in the last 16
