I'm going to get it for the campaign, but will wait a few weeks.

One thing I would recommend for these games, is there should be a way to simulate online games but against computer opposition.

The reason being if you start the game a month or so after release, you get zero chance of learning the maps without getting pummelled and instantly having a terrible record.

I'd like the option like on Fifa to 'create your own torunament', just set up an offline team deathmatch or capture the flag etc to play those style of games but against CPU where you can choose the difficulty level.

I enjoy those variety of games you get online, but the crux of it is I'm not that good at multiplayer so it puts me off getting killed every 30 seconds.

campaign is awesome, easily one of the best campaigns on CoD. Spec Ops is really good fun too. Multiplayer sucks donkey balls though.

As someone who might buy it soon, could you expand on those points? (if you have time)

What's good about the campaign, graphics, or the missions? Think the last campaign I really enjoyed was Modern Warfare 1 with the 'all ghillied up' mission etc.

Is it the glitches or the maps in general being awful? Cod multiplayer is always glitching up when a new game comes out.

The campaign looks great, plays great but it has that realism factor and those hold your breath moments. I think some of the settings help with this and captain price helps too.

Spec ops is the four player objective game v the computer. Pretty tough.

Multiplayer is just a campers paradise, corners and shadows too dark for people, the time to kill is far far too short so u cannot react to being shot ur just dead instantly. Far too many lines of site too which encourages people to sit at windows etc. The sounds is far too loud for footsteps and ur soldiers callous so the enemy hear u coming a mile off. They have made the streaks kill based meaning no one cares about objectives. The ads time is much slower giving the advantage to the person waiting and just aiming at a door, pathway, corridor etc.

Yeah, call of duty maps have always been campers paradises. Thanks Sherbet, I might buy it in a few weeks then. I’m gonna be very rusty though, I’ve not played it for a good five years now.

I'd buy it if you preferred COD back in the MW days before it went all crazy with jet packs. Definitely issues online like Sherbet said but I'm hoping they'll be patched, and there shouldn't be as much camping once people learn the maps.

The gunplay is fantastic though, probably the best it's ever been.

The campaign is excellent, it really is, Its gritty, dark and intense IMO. However multiplayer is still a mess, they patched it a couple of days ago and have fixed a few things. But its still a campers paradise (and im well aware of people always complaining about that in previous CoD's) but due to the time to kill and numerous places to hide its rife in this game.

The time to kill is insane in this game by far the quickest of all CoD's its honestly like hardcore mode.

if you go for CoD for campaign then this is the one for you, however if you want the multiplayer I really cant recommend it yet at all. Put it this way im still going back to WW2 CoD multiplayer as its by far the best one just since they done the overhaul on it.

I haven't played the campaign yet, went straight into multiplayer, haven't played a COD game in probably 5 years. I just got battered, I dont think I got shot face to face more than 5 times in 3 rounds. It was strictly just ass shafting from behind as I didn't know the maps.

Played lastnight though and finished top 3 out of 4 games and took my KD ratio back up to 1. Really enjoying it.

I used to like 'gun game' on multiplayer when I used to play CoD, where after each kill you changed weapon. Made it more fun and challenging.

Still not bought it, probably won't bother from what Iv'e heard. Will definitely pick it up cheap one day to play the campaign though.

Playing campaign first or straight online?

Campaign always, I haven’t had PS online membership for about 2 years.

Taken 4 facking hours to install this crap, the PS5 better be more speedy

you don't play online? you bought cod for single player only?

No I’ll be playing this online once I finish campaign. I’m only buying a month though to see how it fares.
