Didn't have a bad game though tbh all 3 left backs have things going for them and all 3, because of our set up, can get caught out.

Only 600 million net spend the last 5 years, I'm sure your manage

We’re in probably the best position out of any club in Europe to deal with a string of injuries to key players due to investment in the squad. I don’t think any City fan would argue otherwise.

Yep, not looking good with injuries, but we will cope. I'm hoping Otamendi gets a game Wednesday night then the weekend off.

Ferny and Stones need as much game time together as possible to get an understanding going imo. Got another four months or so of those two as first choice CBs.

Otamendi must be miffed Pep would rather play somebody out of position over him 😅

Time for our Phil to get his chance. Could be worse.

There’s a difference between being able to manage and being at our best though. We’re managing without Laporte, we’d still be better if he was fit.

Silva, we could move Bernardo back centrally and play Mahrez or go with Foden. We’re quite well set in that a few of our forward players can also play in midfield and vice versa.

Silva is a huge loss for the Liverpool game.

Not that pep would try it but 3 at the back against Liverpool would be a good idea. Put walker in there next to Fernandinho and Stones and allow Mendy and Cancelo to start from the half way line. Almost bait the Liverpool fullbacks into making a decision.

And 2 strikers would keep the Liverpool CBs honest.
You. Aguero will definitely play after his performance against the Saints but I think Jesus would be a better option that Sterling.

Foden for Silva would be another brave call. I think he could do well.

Three CBs? Full backs at the half way? I would expect our front three to enjoy that.

It will depends on who will capitalise IMO. Both teams will carve out chances.

A lot will depend on who is available to play. Salah’s availability could prove to be crucial just as it was at Old Trafford.

If Liverpool play without the fear they showed at Old Trafford you would imagine they would wear City down, but I’m not convinced they will. The pressure of the fixture seems to affect players on both sides.

Form is also another thing, other than Mane not too many attackers on either side are in great nick.

Liverpool must be 6/1 on favourites for this game considering our injuries and their choice of referee.

There's two kinds of people. Those who think United stopped us from playing and those who think we stopped ourselves. I don't know which it is

Klopp basically said United always pack the bus against us at Old Trafford after that game.

But yeah, if we had Salah we could very likely have won that game with the extra quality he brings and inspires in the team too.

I think he'll be fit for this or at least fit enough to play this game and with the break coming I hope he is ruled out for international duty so he can recover😉

LThere's two kinds of people. Those who think United stopped us from playing and those who think we stopped ourselves. I don't know which it is “

There is a third that thought it was a bit of both, which is the majority of people that watched the game objectively rather than already emotively leaning either way.

I thought Liverpool looked very unbalanced without Salah. United may not have been glamorous but they did a good job with what they had.

Yeah, the neutrals. Bias is hard to escape. I'm leaning towards United parking the bus myself. If they'd played at a higher level I think we would have responded.

Liverpool have had enough to wear down and get over the line in half a dozen or more games this season where teams have parked the bus though.

In some quarters we are seen as a lucky team and barely winning those games.

Gnats what you need to win titles though. It's what won us the title at the back end of last season
